Foreman had by far a better defense than Liston.

Foreman with Tyson explosiveness or Tyson with Foreman mass is petrifying to contemplate.

That would be just unfair eldritch horror power.

In three years this thread will be bumped and Storm Chaser will be laughed at for being so weird.

You can predict the future? Or is that just your two brain cells being delusional again?

I'm a huge Foreman fan and I disagree with that completely. Liston was more cautious and had a better traditional guard than Foreman who would sometimes become very reckless and slug away getting hit once or twice just to land one. I'm not saying Foreman had bad defense, JohnThomas has posted timestamps of some fights here he actually looks very good. But on average, Liston was a little more polished and had better defense than the younger 70's Foreman.

Maybe old experienced foreman who due to his age an extra weight had learned to be more patient but young prime Foreman hardly had any defense less you count pushing his opponents back to disrupt their attacks an give himself himself more room to land his own shots?

Given that I literally just did predict the future, I'm going to say yes.

Totally agree. Liston was an excellent defensive fighter for a heavyweight. Foreman's defense is obviously underrated by his critics but Liston's is just plain better and multi-faceted.

Funny stuff. If you are constantly removing people from their senses, at times with a single punch then you are a power puncher full stop. There are many many examples of Wilder doing bad things to people with one punch.

Stop trying to dress it up as something else as it's ridiculous.

There was an article I read some years ago, and I can’t remember where - but the gist of it was, if George Foreman ever learned to punch with any kind of technique, it would be illegal for him to fight. He certainly knocked out his share of guys, but he tended to bludgeon them. That short punch he dropped Moorer with was a bit of an anomaly, he usually wound up and swung like a wrecking ball. Yep, his raw strength with Mike’s quickness would be terrifying …

The caliper of opponents Wilder has faced is not impressive, you of all people should realize the current boxing "skill level" is far lower than what it used to be during the classical years and there is minimal high level skill set in todays boxing world. Not saying is bad, but his power doesn't hold a candle to some of the big guns from the classical years. No doubt he is a legend in his own right, I will give you that.

Actually no, because none of us are going to be around to bump it in three years. Even if we are, the internet will be long gone by then. LMAO
