Other Heavyweights may have more of a resume and legacy, but head to head, I think Fury beats anyone in a Trilogy.
haha, except that nobody has. Be specific, who and how? I will start. Ali: 6-3 and made his living(at least early on) as an out fighter who got could stay out of range of smaller opponents, and wrestle and lean on smaller men. Your in Fury's range from the front row, and you can't lean on that ogre. Biggest guy Ali ever fought was Terrell - awkward and lack of skill, just big. Nortan got to Ali, and Fury is a lot better than him, and WAY bigger. Big problem for Ali whose best change would be waiting for Fury to run out of gas.
Louis, 60s Ali, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, FOTC Frazier all beat him. Quite possibly Norton, Bowe. I'm not entirely sure Fury could have beaten peak Witherspoon, either.
Fury has struggled against the likes of Wallin, Cruiserweight Cunningham dropped heavily by him, floored 4 times by Wilder who's limited skill wise, and should of had 1 loss to McDermott. Pretty bold statement to say he beats anyone in history when those fights above took place.
Witherspoon at his best with that devastating overhand right, would send Fury and Wilder to the shadow realm there I said it.
That weapon is literally perfect against taller opponent, and Fury has been decked heavily by Pajkic, Cunningham, with overhand rights who were both the same height as Witherspoon. And neither hit anywhere near as hard him just something to ponder.....
Tyson is giving up eleven inches in height and fourteen inches in reach. That's a heck of a disparity.
