Yeah, the seventh was pretty much the turning point. Magsayo lost some steam which is not something that happens to Figueroa.

I'm sorry, I just have to say this again; WHY did Magsayo hold, especially like he did with grabbing one limb?! All he did was allow Figueroa to punch with his other arm (and they weren't soft, whiffing punches either) and tick off the referee. Not only was there 'no reason' to do that, but there were also plenty of reasons NOT to do it!

Look at the current landscape of the sport IB.
This is one of the most interesting fight we might get this year but still it’s not a PPV or highly anticipated fight.

Like, it's fine. It's decent. I'll circle it on my calendar and everything. But they hyped it up during the broadcast and then when spelling out their full slate of upcoming fights on the horizon, that was THE ONE they were building up to. It just feels...underwhelming? As their cornucopia piece of all of 2023.

He's always been the type prone to inconsistency and disappointment.

I actually think it was working for him early on, he just didn't have the gas tank to win the war of attrition.

Yeah, some fighters think that they be winning every round. I don't know what be going through thier heads. Tank thinks the same way as Figueroa.

I did... and pretty much everybody else on here had fairly wide cards in his favor.

I meant it as the rounds were close, but there was a clear winner. Magsayo was competitive all the way to the final bell, but couldn´t win rounds.
At least that's how I saw it.

I really enjoyed that fight. I thought the tide turned in the sixth, not the seventh, where Magsayo kind of realised there was no keeping his man off and this was the fight regardless of what he threw or landed. He never surrendered but I thought Figueroa swept the final third. I had it much closer than a lot of you guys though, I thought Magsayo was the better man through five rounds and that showed on my scorecard. I see the judges had it wide though.

I was still very impressed with Figueroa and his terminator act. That is a sick smile when he gets hit, pretty off-putting even for a pro like Magsayo I would imagine. He's always in position to work, he's got that tide-turning punch-resistance and he makes this division so intetresting.

What we really need is for Lara to fight this guy, it's so annoying that the UK's promotional power is upsetting this apple-cart because there is a big gap between the top half and bottom half of this division...Warrington and Wood are in the bottom half. It's so clear they should just let those two fight each other, fi they did the top of the division might shake out. Shouldn't complain though, that was so good.

I thought the referee was little hard n Magsayo. He did give the requisite warning, but Magasayo's holding looked habitual and inconsequential to me; two points off is excessive given the violence in the contest.

    Figueroa:1,6,7,9,10,11*,12.
    Magsayo:2,3,4,5,8*.

    *Magsayo point off for holding.

I still don't understand why boxing people were pushing Magsayo to become the champion ? He don't have qualities to be a champion. Only size and power to beat up little guys.

No ring IQ, no tactics, no movement that needed in the certain moments, no footwork for that lower divisions.

Mark is very limited and that division is bad if there are not at least 10 guys how are better than him.

Say what you like about the PBC but they do put on some good main events. I know they’ve ruined boxing but this week last week, most shows, some excellent fights.
