A couple of random musings on the Tool Train v Super Bad fight.

The first is that Super Bad has been sparring with Charles Conwell in the lead up to his fight with Timmy. I've said previously that fights at the pointy end of the sport are won & lost on who the sparring partners are. Timmy has made it through to the pointy end of the sport. Team Tszyu did a big, long overseas camp in preparation for fighting Charlo (now Harrison). While setting up overseas is admirable (& certainly preferable to setting up on the Gold Coast like they did for the Terrell Gausha fight) what's just as important is getting the right sparring. Harrison is coming in with world class sparring under his belt. His chances of winning just went right up in my estimation.

It's not all good news for Super Bad though. He missed a trick by not arriving a full two weeks before the fight. Travelling on the Sunday when going from Australia to the US is fine b/c you effectively leave & arrive on the same day which leaves a full two weeks before the fight. Travelling from the US to Australia on the Sunday though costs you a couple of days b/c you lose a day travelling & another day with the time difference. So you arrive here on a Tuesday rather than a Sunday like you would if you were going the other way. It's only a small thing but if you want to win fights on the other side of the world against live opposition, you need to get the small things right.

The sparring isn't a small thing though, it's a big thing. In summary, I think we're in for a serious fight on Sunday week.

Tony can be as well prepared as he likes but Tszyu just needs one good right hand on the button and Detroit glass is going to go flying all over the Qudos Bank Arena. I suggest those in attendance bring protective googles.

Zerafa vs the Brazilian Kid going to purse bid.
Hopefully Matchroom can splash enough to ger the fight to the Bendigo, the Australian Mecca of boxing.

Yes, will certainly be interesting to see what happens.

Any news on Matchroom's next show in Australia?

    Nothing I've heard mate.

Another poster mentioned Huni and Steve Spark could be getting a start on the Canelo undercard in May.

Fast Eddie pretty booked up till then with shows. So may not hear anything until a few of them are done.

Disappointed that GGG didn't make a fight with Zerafa at Bendigo or the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. I thought GGG would of seen that as easy money and a paid holiday to Australia.

Anyone seen much of Bo Belbin?
    Nikita Tszyu's opponent.

I know he comes from a well known fighting family but I dont recall ever seeing him fight. Pro or Am.

He quite possibly sports a ratty. Which makes me a fan already.

I know it's been a while since Stu Duncan passed, and can't remember if I brought it up, but I was going through my Facebook messages and saw the conversations we had about upcoming aussie and NZ fights. He made the effort to reply to each message amd was polite in doing so, even apologising for late responses. Seemed like a decent fellow.

Massive step up good luck to him, honestly Foley career gone 10x better then I thought it would after seeing him in the gym sparring before the zalewski fight but he has plenty of ticker & a solid left hand
