Does Fury not realise how bad a look this is?

    Or he doesn't care?

Somehow Hearn will get the blame.

If the fight doesn’t happen next, it will never be for Undisputed because mandatories will be due. Isn’t Fury fighting in April regardless - at Wembley if not Usyk ?

I could see Usyk facing Dubois next which would be a terrible mismatch.

    I don't think he cares.

It looks like this isn't happening now. It's a joke to be honest. I've been a Fury fan (as a boxer at least) and I'm always reluctant to use the word duck, but this this feels a lot like a duck. Unless the pay is a lot less than what you would expect then I don't see a proper reason as to why this can't happen. If it's something petty like he's getting $10m less than what Joshua got (but still a massive payday) and his ego can't handle it then I just feel like it's a convenient excuse for him to get out of a fight he doesn't really fancy.

Agreed. I suspect the root of it will be to do with earnings relative to Joshua, although he'll never admit that.

I also think he and his team underestimate how highly regarded Usyk is. The general consensus amongst everyone I speak to, whether hardcore boxing fans or more of the Sky Sports big fight watching lot, is that this fight NEEDS to happen.

I really rate the Wilder wins, and the context to those (coming back post mental breakdown + weightloss) makes them even more impressive.. but he can't dine out on them forever whilst claiming to be the best of his generation. Most people expect him to solidify such a statement by fighting both Usyk and Joshua.. recently Joyce has entered that conversation too.

It will be absolutely farcical if this fight doesn’t get made. For all the belts. Everyone wants to see it. Everyone willing to pay for it. Both getting paid a fortune. How is it possible for it not to be made? Just sums up the state of boxing atm.

Fury/Wilder/AJ should have fought each other 3 times over already. And the only one we’ve seen is Fury/Wilder. They’ve all been pro for 10+ years ffs.

Just Frank Warrens attitude as well just going ah well what can you do? There doesn’t really seem much urgency from him.

I dunno maybe just with Usyk technical relentlessness and Fury not being able to move like he used to maybe he just doesn’t fancy it?

I've long since given up on this being made.

At least Fury V Joyce will be fun i guess :nusenuse:

usyk V dubois would be a comical mismatch.

Fury is just an absolute charlatan.

Milked mental health, grabbed every penny despite banging on about how little money means to him, lied about charity giving and ducks the fights people wants. But does give us the Chisora trilogy

No, Eddie will not get the blame. He is nothing to do with this in the slightest and at the moment, he is an irrelevant promoter when it comes to the Top Tier of the Heavy’s.

Both Ajagba and Jared Anderson have been spoken to about a voluntary defence on April 29th.

Ajagba would be terrible. Anderson looks good but has fought no one of note. He has also sparred Fury recently.

I am pretty sure Franklin would beat Ajagba. If he’s fighting at Wembley, surely Dubois would make more sense ?
