I'd probably refuse free ring side tickets to this card. Hell, you couldn't pay me to sit, in what is sure to be a completely terrible environment, have anxiety going through the roof just thinking about it.

I'll probably be asleep when it's aired live, but will definitely get around to watching it shortly after.

im gonna go on a limb and pick garcia right now. listening to goosen im confident he knows what hes doing and will have him ready. there are 3 or for punches that will find tank given his habits and tendencies, and i think goosen will teach him how to look for them, set them up, and how to pull the trigger. but you got to stay disciplined and stick to it. youre not gonna catch him every time, but you will catch him. and i think ryan hits too hard to shake it off when he does catch you. if ryan keeps his defense tight, by the 9th rd he should have caught him enough to keep him down.

I'm also encouraged by Davis' overconfidence, if that wasn't performative.

i think it was. partially at least. he knows the problems ryan presents, thats why drying him out denies him of the advantage tank has wielded over many opponents. it saps your strength and endurance, putting your body through a hard weight cut. but i think ryan is young enough to recuperate sufficiently to make his advantages work. his body is just too big now to make 135 and be whole the next day.

It was a baller move of Ryan to call him out for insisting on a ten pound rehydration clause, and saying he didn't hesitate to agree both for his own sake to get to lay hands on him and for the fans'. Regardless of how true any of what they said is to what transpired behind the scenes, the optics there definitely sway rooting interest his way.

I like how not one single option that presumes this going the distance has been touched.

yeah, it shows the lengths tanks team will go to in order to face a lesser fighter than what ryan is capable of bringing. smells of shook to me. dont remember them caring which barrios came into the ring. and hes fighting welter now.

    Good points -
One thing to also remember is Tank’s footwork.
Tank also has the better footwork.
Which I think will likely be the difference in him closing the distance in the later rounds.

it’s an interesting & exciting matchup.

Fair to say Tank more sure-footed; Kingry fleeter of foot?

there is a sweet spot in distance that ryan needs to maintain at all times. thats where discipline kicks in. its where ryan can reach tank if he leans in, but tank cant reach him. he needs to learn to half step back and shoot a punch to stop tank when he steps forward. go right back to that set up every time. you will get plenty of chances to punch on the inside, cause tank is gonna beat your defense sometimes, but you go right back to holding the ideal distance. how you allow the fight to develop should revolve around that primary goal.

The presser sucked but that doesn't take away the magnitude of this fight, its huge and one of the biggest fights in years. Hopefully they put on a good under card and give us more bang for our buck.
