Brock has zero chin, none. Not going to make it in this racket I'm afraid. Not with the way he fights.

Watching him avoid punches is like watching this:

His chin does, but he's got plenty of tools on him & tough still very young can improve. He needs to keep developing that jab to keep opponents of him

You can tell he has always bullied opponents doesn't look comfortable at all defending & just stands very upright but I think with the extra weight & settling down early on he can develop abit more needs a solid jab & to move sideways of it not just straight back to the ropes, it's unfortunate because offensively when putting the pressure on he can be very good

I didn't enjoy seeing a fight where our bloke out-weighed the other guy by 2 kg, got badly hurt in the 2nd, broke the other guy's jaw in response & then the other bloke is left to battle on without any obvious medical attention. This wasn't a Jai Opetaia situation where the extent of his injuries wasn't obvious until late in the fight. What was the ringside doctor doing? It's compulsory for there to be one in this country but I didn't see him or her between rounds even though the Filipino was quite obviously badly hurt. The fight just continued on. Pretty disgraceful stuff all round I thought. At the very least I hope the Filipino gets the medical treatment he should get while he's here. Not just put on a plane & sent home to fend for himself.

The point of headlining shows with Brock Jarvis out-weighing nondescript & overmatched overseas imports escapes me. What occurred last night demeans the sport in this country. Brock himself is very capable offensively but his known chin issues preclude him from being a viable contender on the international stage. He's been badly hurt in each of his last three outings. That's not good for his health. Things appear to have reached the point where it's not possible to match Brock with fighters of equivalent size or ability or he'll get knocked out. In fact, he's in danger of being knocked out by fighters who are much smaller than him & who have modest records.

Yep I agree Brock looked way bigger than his opponent. I think you are right Fenech and No Limit will continue to protect him as much as they can with smaller opponents. Any half decent Aussie fighter at 135 or 140 will knock him out again.

It's pretty sick watching a guy who is much bigger than his opponent hammer away at him with a broken jaw. They were saying earlier in the telecast that Brock weighs 75kg by the time he enters the ring. It's ridiculous & extremely dangerous for the undersized opponent. The guy had his jaw broken. And for what purpose? The NSW boxing commission (or whatever it's called) needs to stop sanctioning these fights. If Brock wants to continue his career, decide on a weight division & start facing some decent fellow Australians who are the same size as he is.

Yep totally agree. I used to think the whole weight bully term was silly but more and more these days I understand it. The size difference made me wanna see Brock lose I found myself rooting for his opponent after he rocked Brock in the second round, also that should have been a knock down the ropes kept him up. The problem is Fenech still has a lot of pull in Aussie boxing and Brock is his boy.

I like seeing Brock win but not like this. The fight should not have been sanctioned by the NSW boxing authorities. The ringside doctor should have stopped it when the other fellow had his jaw broken. No Limit should not have headlined the fight or even promoted the show. Foxtel should not have headlined the fight or broadcast the show but I'm glad they did b/c enough's enough. The only thing worse than seeing it on TV would have been it occurring & no-one seeing it. The commentators should have called it out for what it was. I hope the other bloke is in hospital this morning getting his jaw fixed properly. Not sitting in an aeroplane on his way back to the Philippines.

I could only imagine what goes on at some of these non televised shows. I found it odd that such a poor card was televised they could've just slotted Brock somewhere on the undercard of Tszyu Harrison. Where was that in Sydney last night? That venue was tiny looked like it was in a gym.

Wow that Pretty Boy Jarvis has china for a chin, he is going to get ironed out again once a live body is punching back at him. The little Philo did a good job but they were two weight divisions apart..... a joke.

    Carriageworks in Sydney cbd
Heard it only seats around 300 and was a made for TV event for Fox.
Hope this isnt going to become the new normal for No Limit's shows on Fox.

As far as NL and Fox saying its the biggest week in Australian boxing history, I would say very far from it and was looking today at the Ticketek site today and it seems that there are still plenty of seats available.

I think in some MMA organisations (ONE) they also do a weighin on the day of the fight and the fighters have to be within a certain weight range.
This is done to avoid such huge weight differences between the fighters, like we saw last night.

Just on Harrison. 1 fight in 2 years. Ko'd 3 times. Has faded in fights to get Kod. How does this help Tszyu?
