The reason this fight is so big is because of Undisputed and both are undefeated and the top 2 in the division. Usyk has just beaten Joshua twice where the PPV buys were more than a million which was more than Fury Whyte and Fury Chisora III. Usyk already agreed to 60/40 in Saudi Arabia but Fury declined. He wants 50/50 in the UK as Fury would have home advantage there.

When Fury was going to fight Joshua several years ago, Fury had no belts and Joshua was a much bigger name than him.

Funny think is Fury when he didn't have a belt and couldn't sell tickets turned down a 40% split against AJ demanding 50%.

What is going generate more money for Fury a 50 or 60% split if wins against Usyk or a high percent against a Charr or Kabayel? Surely still Usyk for the undisputed?

    Absolutely correct.

Beginning to look like a double duck after Joshua in December.

Hope I am wrong for the sake of boxing.

Tbh what Joshua etc have done is irrelevant to me now n this discussion if I criticise fury it doesn’t mean a point for Joshua and vice Versa like often happens with people here.

“Splits always get in the way of big fights” yes they do but that doesn’t mean it’s a huge issue, and this isn’t just a big fight it’s unique in modern times.

Is usyk worth 50/50? Looking at sporting achievements absolutely it should be split down the middle. Looking at things like having an energy drink, being in the wwe, his wife writing a book etc? Then maybe not. But I suspect usyk would be willing to go to 60/40 or so on this. Whatever way we cut it fury is holding up an undisputed fight when he’ll still receive tens of millions

I like what krassyk proposes winner gets 60/40 split, proper “fighting mans” deal.

60/40 to the winner - there can be no excuses for Fury now.

    None at all

Fury sells out Wembley vs Charr, Kabayel or Usyk.

No he doesn't. He will not sell out Wembley in his next fight if he doesn't fight Usyk. The plan is that if the Usyk fight falls through, he will fight on April 29 at Wembley so we will find out.

We are scraping the barrel accepting any other fight for Fury for financial reasons when the only fight the fans want to see next is for the undisputed World Heavyweight Championship with all 4 belts on the line between 2 undefeated fighters.

We may never live long enough to see this happen again in the Heavyweight Division.

His next post where he stated Whyte won 3 rounds against Fury is insanity

Usyk should go 55-45 final offer. Fury gets to keep his ego intact whilst the actual financial hit to Usyk is nominal. That's fair. If Fury rejects that then he's quacking.

I don’t understand why it’s always team “I donate my purses to charity & don’t care about the money bc I’m a Spartan” vs team “I’m humble but not a 12 round fighter, I’m heavy, I was going to jail”?

Fury’s a greedy bell*nd wants easy fights for the most money, doesn’t takeaway from the fact that AJ is a self righteous narcissistic bell*nd that fought Charles Martin for his first belt.

Both laughable as world champions, we’re in an era of fighters with no backbone and afraid of losing.

Sorry for the hijack @jimmyonebomb this isn’t directed at you, just @Mitch87

What fight has ever been made on 60/40 to the winner which is the only offer tabled by Usyk not a flat 60-40.

As someone said belts don't mean money which is why I mentioned Joshua because it includes Fury at the point were Fury was the B side and wanted 50-50 but knew he didn't deserve it. Everyone at the time was like Joshua sells out 3 stadiums while Fury can't sell out a phonebox. Belts or no belts Usyk doesn't deserve 50/50 and AJ sold them PPV numbers.
