As the young people say these days "Y'all be cappin"

It's a great deal for Usyk - career high payday in bag

It's a great deal for Fury - the A side, the draw, the money man

Hopefully the fight happens this year, April, May idgaf - then we have te rematch around xmas (it will be before) and a trilogy next summer

I'm over the moon this is done, I thought 70% for Fury was too much.
Must mean they never got to 60/40, which I thought was a much fairer split.

Kinda wish I hadnt wasted my time reading all those posts about 50% for Usyk now.

Usyk reportedly earned up to 40 million for his rematch with Joshua. No way would be a 30% with Fury be equal to that when they don´t have the Saudis backing them.

And when it comes to PPV sold, Usyk has done fantastic numbers in the U.K.
Usyk vs Chisora did around 1 million buys while Fury vs Chisora III did around 500k.
Usyk´s rivalry with Joshua did tremendous numbers.
Fury vs Whyte was considered a letdown with 700k PPV sold in Britain and 100k in USA. Warren expected 1.5m domestically. (all in all, good numbers but the purse was ridiculously big)
Fury vs Wilder III was a letdown as well. 600k in USA, which was half of the second fight.

TLDR; Fury isn´t that much bigger of a box office draw than Usyk.

I agree it is commendable that Usyk is willing to take a pay cut for the chance at creating legac. However, it is sad that he is effectively having to buy the belt off Fury.

Because let's be honest here. Either it was a lot of bull**** about Usyk not being a draw, or this fight doesn't generate a big enough purse to make this Usyk's best ever pay day.

    See the problem?

Usyk knows his worth more than us. It was take this or fight Dubois.

No problem there, I still say he's worth 40%.

You didnt make a good point at all. Usyk knows more about his self worth than you (and I) do.

Maybe I need to put it another way:

One fighter is taking a pay cut for the chance at real legacy.

Don't you think both fighters should make the biggest pay day of their lives when fighting for undisputed?

Paycut??? Where the hell is Usyk getting more money than this?? Your taking the ****. Usyks value was severley over-inflated due to the two AJ fights, he celarly knows this. You dont. Take it up with Oleksandr mate. Hes the one who accepted 30%, not me.

    Usyk - Bellew 600k
    Usyk - Chisora 1m

Hell, Fury is shown on that list as many times as Usyk.

Sounds very much like you are starting to understand that Fury isn't a big enough draw if this doesn't generate enough to lift all boats.

Anyway, hats off to Usyk for giving us undisputed.

I'm very happy for him. He is clearly a man that values legacy, and got the fight he wanted. It's just a little sad that Fury is selling his belt.
