I mean, if you enjoy boxing by getting personally enraged by Tyson Fury's antics then you carry on.. it does seem a little OTT though.

    Another Brainiac

The irony of you calling anyone else stupid could only be and only is lost on you. I don't even have to take it any further than that because it's on full display for everyone to see

Fury should get more credit for beating him.

The pro-Usyk narrative is that Fury is scared of Usyk and that Usyk has caught Fury unprepared with only a 6 week fat camp before fight week. Fury is apparently a victim of his own outlandish demands.

So if the fight goes ahead Fury is taking on an elite, well-prepared opponent who he knows is a serious threat, without nearly adequate preparation himself.

And assuming these "public negotiations" are genuine and are not just hype for a fight that's already agreed, has Fury not called Usyk's bluff? Usyk's bluff being 50-50 or nothing? Giving up 40% of what you demand is an expensive "call", perhaps Usyk's been hustled.

The Whyte negotiations seemed to drag on too, many claimed that Fury was ducking him. I remember Dillian getting 18% (rather than the comical 45% he was demanding) and an uppercut to the chin by the end of it.

He gets no credit for offering a scumbag deal when his opponent is the most respectful decorated and deserving fighter available, who can't even have had possible home advantage because his country is at war, no.
And if he hasn't had preparation himself, that's on him, fat man tried to duck, how does that deserve any more credit that any other scenario where this fight happened with a fair offer?

Only way Fury's getting credit is outboxing and stopping Usyk.

    "offering a scumbag deal"

Fighters are selfish and want to maximise revenue, news at 11.

    "fat man tried to duck"

It's simple logic: if Fury is out of shape and tried to duck Usyk but beats Usyk, then a below par Fury has beaten the best Usyk, who he knew was a serious threat. Therefore he gets huge credit.

Why? Who has ever beaten Usyk on points?

I don't remember Lewis stopping Holyfield over 24 rounds and Holyfield had been dropped multiple times and stopped with headshots previously in his career. Nor did Wlad stop Haye, who had also been dropped multiple times and stopped with headshots. Nor did Joshua drop Usyk over 24 rounds, let alone stop him.

I couldn’t give a flying **** about Fury personally. However, I do care about the HW division (naturally, as I’m a HW too) and Usyk’s career path in particular. For a very long time now, both of these things have been being damaged and heavily derailed by Fury and his dicking around. I don’t care about how people are putting on an act online pretending they don’t care about certain things. I’m passionate about HW boxing and Tyson Fury is the absolute worst thing happening to it right now. As soon as he retires/stops messing around/stops holding belts as hostage, I won’t care what he does (or doesn’t do).

Well it looks like the fight is actually happening, so that's good news. I've said this to you before, but you 100% get far too emotionally invested.

Correction: it looks like it’s going ahead. Whether it actually happens or not - we can only say that on the 29th of April, but not before. Once again: let’s not pretend Fury doesn’t have a history in pulling out of scheduled fights.

Lucky for me that it’s not your place to tell me what’s too much or too little emotional investment. You can have an opinion but this “I’ve said this to you before” sounds ridiculously arrogant. You know, opinions and arseholes and all that jazz. And I didn’t ask for your opinion, mate, so you might as well stop sharing them. You have to appreciate the irony in the fact that at this point, you appear far too emotionally invested in telling me how emotionally invested I am.
