No, Olu. Like I already told you, and not for the first time either, Canelo was given the decision by the judges. However, as most serious observers who watched both fights know, GGG won both the 160 pound bouts.
He was great, he destroyed decent fighter's in ways other fighters can only dream of. Then he beat Canelo and was robbed of his signature win, or wins. He will be remembered as a rare talent an elite level iron man with great power. Only three guys made it twelve rounds with him. That says something.
You don’t know **** because discerning observers like me who know boxing appreciate Canelo displayed his superior ring craft in all 3 fights and won them all. Canelo was awarded. The verdicts because he won simple as that. Keep crying about it if you must, it won’t change the facts that Canelo won the fights and history records it as such.
I'll tell you guys why GGG doesn't want to fight Lara and it's not because he's scared of him. GGG/Murata - big payday in Japan. GGG/Canelo 3 - big payday. GGG/Lara - small payday. The old man doesn't have that much motivation to get go through a full training camp unless you give him a good payday. Fighting Lara isn't a good payday. Zerafa isn't a good payday. The only guy he will fight at this point is Munguia, who will bring a decent payday. It's either that or retirement.
The gentleman doth protest too much, methinks. You must have the same eye-doctor as Adelaide Byrd. Here are the scores of the boxing commentators from the media for the first bout. I hope he does just go away. As annoying as Floyd was, Floyd was at least more honest that he was in it for the money. All we ever heard from Golovkin when he was "being ducked" was that warrior/legacy/anyone from 154 to 175 giant load of BS when he has proven time and time again he was all about money. So much so he ended a career long training relationship because his trainer wanted to get paid. He was fun to watch no doubt, but overrated and a bit of a phony. As for his trilogy with Canelo? He should definitely have won the first, the second fight was his own fault and the third he got beat convincingly.
If GGG had red hair and was from Mexico and Canelo had brown hair and was from Kazakhstan, Canelo may have not won a round.
I think he wants smith or eubank. Big money. But they might rematch leaving him without a dance partner
