So? A 6/7-week camp for Fury for which many people (including me) consider to be his toughest ever fight.. Fury has a history of pulling out of fights and I think there’s a strong likelihood this will happen again.

Will hold my hands up and happily eat humble pie if it happens as scheduled.

 

I think you will know from how much promotional funds are spent by Warren. If it’s not pumped and promoted massively from get go when they need PPV sales it’s likely they don’t want to lose the marketing costs when they know it won’t happen.

 

How do you know Fury hasn’t been training for this weeks before ?

 

Don’t want to be cynical and really hope this isn’t the case but I can’t help but think this is a possibility as well. Just can’t get too excited for the fight until they get into the ring.

 

Arguably P4P (whatever that means) but at heavyweight Fury would be well above Usyk and Usyk's already the best southpaw heavyweight. In fact, Fury's record is significantly better than Usyk's right now, even including the cruiserweight fights.

Fury's tier 1: Wlad, Wilder x3

Fury's tier 2: Chisora x2, Cunningham, Wallin, Whyte


Usyk's tier 1: Briedis, Joshua x2

Usyk's tier 2: Hunter, Gassiev, Chisora

 

Maybe he has, maybe he hasn’t. Just my opinion. I’ve been saying on here ever since the Chisora fight that I don’t for a second believe Fury will get in there with Usyk because I think he knows how hard it will be to outbox him. Like I said just my opinion. Maybe I’m a natural pessimist and I hope I’m proven wrong but I certainly don’t see the fight taking place as scheduled in April and I’m doubtful that Fury will even box Usyk anyway.

Let’s not forget that Fury set such a ridiculous “deadline” for AJ to agree a fight before Xmas knowing that it wouldn’t happen that quickly and he’d be free to fight Chisora instead.

Usyk is a nightmare opponent for Fury IMO.

 

Yeh mate got excited initially when splits were accepted but still no official confirmation is there. Until we’re into actual promotion can’t fully believe it’s happening

 

If it was signed months ago as some are insisting we should have an official announcement in a matter of days surely?
