If Fury cared about strength training, he would be stronger than Joshua.

idk if clinchwork is necessarily a 1:1 demonstration of strength. There were times, to use a recent and high-profile heavyweight example, where Usyk was pushing Delboy and AJ across the ring. Usyk is extremely fit and his strength probably goes beyond his physique (I have bigger quads than every bloke on the Tour de France, but they would utterly blow me away in a biking competition lol) but you would have a hard time convincing me he's stronger than those two

Same goes for height. Lennox didn't have the pumped-up appearance of an AJ/Dubois/Bruno but neither was he flabby (at least until his later career) like Fury. That isn't to say Fury is weak ofc as he looked stronger than Whyte, who is renowned for being a gym beast

I know it's not the thread topic, but Joe Joyce is the only high-profile guy in the division who is legit tall, legit naturally strong and legit naturally shredded. The fact he trains with rugby players is testimony to that. He's also a freak genetically

I think Fury is a lot stronger than Terence Crawford.

Obviously AJ is the stronger man in terms of pure physical strength.

But their fighters not power lifters brah, in the ring is where it matters and in the ring fury man handles AJ like a child.
Therefore fury is physically stronger than AJ, lifting weights doesn't really count in this instance, my point wasn't about clinching in particular but yeh thats where you'd see the physical strength difference and fury would ragdoll AJ.

Some 10 years ago, which for his weight back then is fine for a person who's not much into lifting.

Joshua maybe is stronger when it comes to some lifting and maybe not stronger when it comes to fighting. Just assuming, can't tell, not to mention strength is not a one-dimensional quality, there're several kinds of.

In any case, Fury is more durable, Joshua is stronger in terms of lifting weights, push-ups, pull-ups, etc...
