He absolutely does not want this fight at the moment.

If Usyk had said that everyone would've been calling him a 'real fighting man' etc etc.

If it was 50/50 or close to that I’d agree. I think if you accept 30/70 it’s reasonable you want to build in a split for a rematch that rewards you for winning.

Yeah that's fair. I do actually feel there appears to be reluctance from Fury. This fight should be signed by now. But I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy.

I am not convinced he thought Usyk would accept. The public posturing is wearing thin with me too. Just get it signed and done. I agree RE hypocrisy too. Usyk would be lauded for the same statemenr

How does that work? If Usyk is the first four-belt, undisputed HW Champ he shouldn't have to rely on the bloke he beat to earn a few quid.

It contractually ties a rematch, akin to Fury Wilder 3. I don’t like rematches either but Fury is the biggest fight out there for Usyk so he probably wants 50/50 in a rematch should he win. Usyk having the 4 belts doesn’t all of a sudden make him a huge star in commercial terms

I would welcome if we could move away from rematch clauses in general.

Fury probably wants to move onto AJ if he wins and doesn’t want the rest of the year taken up with Usyk.

The fact that this appears to be a new request tells you he’s trying to put obstacles in the way, he’s had months to make this demand. I think Usyk will still accept though.

Been saying this since before the Chisora fight. Usyk beats him IMO, although not sure he gets the decision on the cards.

That's what makes it an unreasonable demand. Once he's undisputed champ he has to exploit whatever appeal he has.

Not sure about that mate. Remove rematch clauses and there’s just more scope to have fighters robbed on the cards IMO.

Except it’s not Usyk saying it, it’s Fury. Who all of a sudden has a problem with rematches despite fighting Derek Chisora 3 times.
