Bruno right now, but give it a few years and I'm being serious. I work with a lot of 17/18 year olds who love AJ, regardless of his losses, and have no idea who Bruno or Lennox is, and think Floyd is some Boomer battering YouTubers. It's why no one knows who Joe Louis is in AD2023 outside of boxing scholars or people who're 80+. Generations come and go, sadly. Ali and Tyson are probably the only two boxers to achieve real immortality. Even the Oscars and SRLs couldn't

As a Brit I can say I couldn't give a s*** about either of them ... we mollycoddle our Fighters too much that's why we don't produce more greats than we could do.. we reward mediocrity, celebrate the underdog too much & crown fighters too early..

And Frank's as honest as the day is long
    As the sun will rise
    He was and is loved

Bruno no question especially after Joshua's antics vs Usyk, even before that Bruno was more loved in all honesty. Bruno just come across as likeable honest guy, where as Joshua just comes across as fake and the Usyk antics proved that.

Joshua's probably more loved and more hated.

Nobody hates Bruno but a lot of people under the age of 40 wont even know who he is anymore.

Great post from one of my favourite posters. I'm also a Brit and people expect me to back our lads to the hilt regardless of who they are, when in reality I think a lot of them are bellends and over-achievers. We've definitely produced some world-class fighters but no where near as many as we like to pretend. As you say, British boxing culture, at least from a fan perspective (maybe even a training perspective) is coddling and rewards mediocrity. I've lost track of how many lads have won belts (either vacant or against weak champs), defended them against sausages only to lose them to better, foreign fighters

Who you consider to be the Brit boxing GOAT btw? Calzaghe? I exclude Lennox, not because of purity test reasons but because he had more of a transnational identity let's face it

Joshua's stock has unfortunately dropped quite a bit recently.... So would have to go with Bruno....

Just last night I was watching Bruno vs Coetzee..... That is one brutal knockout by him....
