It's not an additional clause. It was a counter offer and Fury has seemingly agreed. It's clutching at straws to lay any of this at Usyk's door based on what info we have.
I thought it was supposed to be “simple 50/50 and easy to make” though? Don’t know how you lay any of the blame with Usyk given he’s gone down and accepted 70/30 to appease the lying conmen Fury and Warren.
Additional clause, counter offer it’s all the same thing. The fight isn’t signed until it’s signed: at which point it’s on because both fighters are happy. Up until that point it’s all just light and sound.
That's what I'm hoping too. It would make sense, Fury is quite happy to play the villain, and it seems to suit him really. I think he prefers being the underdog and clearly gets more "up" for those fights - Klitschko, Wilder 1, Wilder 2 arguably. Being as awkward as possible in negotiations and feeling people are against him might be what he feels he needs to do to bring out his best. He'll be under no illusions this is a very difficult fight - despite his bravado.
Obviously. That doesn't mean you can attribute equal blame to both parties and that one side isn't taking the absolute p**s. Plus Fury hasn't brought that up, he's created an entirely separate issue all of a sudden.
You can attribute as much or as little blame as you like to whoever you like pal. It makes no difference to anyone but you, since you’re the only one who feels it. Like I say, all just light and sound. Free wisdom take it or leave it.
I think the money was available but Usyk had agreed his part but Fury wanted more he probably knew what Usyk had been offered and felt he was worth way more. Lets say Usyk agreed at £40 million from saudi. They then offered Fury £60 million but Saudi wanted all the rights to the fight same as the Usyk vs AJ deal. Fury was like well at £50 PPV (which it will be) and a Full house with expensive Floor seats at Wembley its a 100million same money as Saudi but hes at 'home' and with a 70/30 split he gets 70 million. Fury is not stupid when it comes to boxing negotiations and knows exactly how to maximise what he takes knowing he is still by far the biggest money fight for Usyk even if the split was 90/10. Also knowing Usyk has mandatory's against both Joyce and DDD. Very clever moves by Fury here in a business sense. But the fans are starting to turn now so he needs to sort it quickly before his value drops.
It's not really wisdom. I never said it affects anything. We're on a boxing forum. It's entire function is to discuss boxing. You can be as facile as you like but given you're a contributing member then it would suggest at least a hint of interest on your part. This is a bad look for Fury and so people are going to mention it. If you want to downplay it then go ahead it doesn't mean everyone else has to.
Everyone just needs to calm down. It’s common knowledge that Joshua had to sign to fight fury straight away to get the fight in at the start of December as Fury had the Usyk fight lined up in February. I see no reason for this to not still be the case.
Given Usyk's personality and how he's carried himself his whole career it's been stupid of Tyson to try and mess about. He should have just been respectful and acted like a gent, got everything done and then done his talking in the ring. Tyson Fury needs to remember that he can't talk like Ali and what Ali used to talk wasn't always all that clever anyway, it's probably contributed to him being 6ft under because he riled Frazier so much. Usyk isn't going to be affected by any silly behaviour so it's a waste of time trying it on.
