That is the story that Holyfield fans sell, but there is no evidence of it.

First off Holyfield is not my "hero" he's not even my favourite Heavyweight of the 90s let alone being my hero. I never said you was dumping on Holyfield but in your comment you said and i quote.

"Too many here are giving EH the benefit of the doubt (wasn't prime, etc.) in all areas"

My issue with this is how is that giving Holyfield the benefit of the doubt ? i think it's perfectly reasonable to not count losses when a fighter is shot and over the age of 40+ after a long grueling career. And i do not think that should be used to diminish Holyfield, i'm not saying you were doing that i just mean in general regarding people in this thread bringing up losses to Byrd, Toney.

Well i don't a peak Bowe performed at a far higher level than Joshua ever did, and i think Bowe would KO Joshua but if you disagree that that's your opinion but i don't agree with it. I also don't know how you come to the conclusion that Joshua beats Tyson either, especially when a fat shorter Ruiz pummelled Joshua with his quick combinations but again that's up to you how you see it.

As for Wladimir how am i diminishing Wladimir ? is it not a fact that Wladimir was coming off loss, and hadn't fought in over a year and half and was aged 40 at the time ? i'm not diminishing anything i'm just giving you facts.

I never said you were calling Usyk the Heavyweight GOAT, i'm just on about people in general who have gone a bit overboard overrating Usyk at Heavyweight. As i said in a previous post i need to see more evidence of Usyk at Heavyweight before i can really evaluate him.

If he beats 2 out of 3 then yes he definitely should be put on a pedestal, and i would be the first one to be singing his praises. I just hope Usyk can get the Fury fight ASAP, and then if he beats Fury maybe get one other big fight at Heavyweight before he finally retires.

Possibly he could yeah a Southpaw Heavyweight which is uncommon for the Heavyweight division, especially someone with the skills of Usyk. On paper should be able to compete well with some of the older more recognizable Heavyweights.

I'm fairly young at 23 so trust me i'm not one of those people that think everything in black/white era is better. To tell you the truth i actually do prefer classic boxing especially in the 80s, but i do recognize that there are fighters of the modern era that could beat some of former greats of old. And i would put Usyk in that category definitely, but as i said i just want to see a bit more evidence of Usyk at Heavyweight. But for me he's clearly the Cruiserweight GOAT with Holyfield being a close 2nd.

You're right, he did fight at heavyweight om the WSB against people who were much larger than he was, such as Joyce. My mistake.

Usyk, at heavyweight has weighed in between 215 and 221.5.
Holyfield, is 6.2, and during a similar time frame (ages 33-36) has weighed in between 211 and 218.

I just don't agree with the idea that Usyk is not a real cruiser while Holyfield is, it's an inch and 3-4 lbs.

Do yourself a favor and Google when Evander failed a drug test.

It’s no evidence that Holyfield was actually on something either since he never failed a test.

Evander Holyfield is a good man. Him having to share a number and address with that horrible, cheating Evan Fields is one of the greatest injustices I know of in boxing history.

The bar is set slow, but also low, as the Usyk sectarians (as spravedlivylev) can only make Usyk shine when it comes to discuss him against Fury. No other decent Usyk-relate topic is ever raised. Even on this one, there're plenty of delusionists (see the votes) that rate Usyk close to Holyfield, while he's a mile away. But they don't dare to post a single comment about, it's just easier to blame you for being a fan of whoever (mainly Fury) like it's some sort of vice, while them, being followers of God Usyk is the only righteous thing. All of that is utterly pathetic.

Most of Holyfields losses came after the age of 36, age Usyk is now, so lets look at him 36 and younger, he'd beaten Moorer, Bowe, Tyson, Holmes, Douglas, Foreman.

Pre-age 36 I'd say maybe Holyfields resume is better, despite having 3 losses due to fighting better opponents.

Haha! Sure, but since he never failed a test it’s unfair to call him a cheat.

Listen, it’s no doubt in my mind he was on PED’s, but, he never failed a test and never got caught with steroids either so it’s really no proof of it, except that ppl say “Evan Fields” had the same address, ok where’s the proof that Evander actually took any of the steroids that was supposedly sent to his house?? Nobody actually have proof and until someone has it’s no reason to call Evander a cheat.

It's simple Holyfield started his professional career as a Light Heavyweight, and had to bulk up to Heavyweight. Usyk was fighting at Heavyweight even in the Amateurs, and fought Heavyweight fights in the WSB also which are basically professional fights.

Usyk was always a Heavyweight that decided to fight in Cruiserweight division, as I said in anyother Heavyweight era Usyk would be perfectly sized as a Heavyweight. It's just this era is full of giants so he appears smaller than what he is. But at 6'3 220+ pounds he is clearly a pretty big man.

PS I noticed your name is also Dynamic, quite funny the two Dynamics debating with eachother.

Evan Fields beat better fighters by far. Usyk has ways to go.
