All on Fury. AJ v Usuyk never had these issues getting made. AJ fights in Saudi and no problems. Fury to have a fight in Saudi v Usuyk and what happens. Problems. How the fcuk can there be problems getting the fight made in Saudi when the Saudis are paying more money than anyone. AJ accepts 60/40 split in Fury's favour and Fury produces arbitrary deadlines. He wants a date cos he says his fighting Usuyk in February. It's now March. There is a common dominator here and its name is Tyson Fury.
You don’t have to invest your energy into anything you don’t want to is my only point here pal, especially when your energy is being invested into something which gives you zero ROI. Not a smart investment by anyone’s measure.
Nobody's 'investing' anything mate. It's just a chat about boxing not Frost/Nixon. One day I hope I'll be able to understand fortune cookie philosophy as well as you, young Plato.
The rematch clause after the 2nd Wilder fight was unnecessary. That was the perfect time for the AJ fight but they ‘forgot’ to opt out. December was frustrating, it was a bit of both really. I think AJ wanted it. I think Fury did too. I don’t think Hearn wanted it at all. Hopefully Fury stops the nonsense now and we get the Usyk fight. 70% split is insane really, let’s see what the numbers are like. FWIW I see Fury winning the fight.
Boxing politics Is a load of Bull, say it all the time but its true. And none of it means a thing to us fans, and when fights do get round to happening noone remembers the negotiations and Bs anyway, we remember the punches swapped and drama in the ring. Sometimes, over analysing the sport from a promoter point of view just f*cks it up, especially when fights just take forever to happen, mind numbing
Well Fury has posted another video where it seems like he's well up for it. Warren said yesterday it will definitely happen. Obviously take all that with a pinch of salt but it looks positive at least.
People talk about the boxing politics because that's all there is to bloody talk about. The fights that people want, don't happen. Months and months get sucked up with back and for between boxers/promotors/managers etc so that's all that we can talk about.
The amount and content of Fury’s posting - regardless what you think of it - is a good sign. Indicates to me the fight is going to happen and hopefully an official announcement soon.
All these Instagram rants, and they’re pretty personal towards Usyk (a man who has only ever conducted himself with class) suggests to me that he’s in Tyson’s head big time.
