Fury would be USKY's by a long stretch. USKY would in hindsight be a feather fisted cruiser who shot to pieces old delboy chisora gave a good showing against.
Fury would be Usyk's best win by miles. Usyk would probably be Fury's third-best ... after Wlad and Wilder ... who were two of the longest-reigning, most dominant heavyweight champions this century ... with nearly 30 successful defenses and roughly 15 years as heavyweight champions between them. Wlad beat Byrd at the beginning of 2006 and lost his belts at the end of 2015 to Fury, the same year Wilder won his title in January and Deontay held it until Fury beat him in 2020. Usyk isn't a dominant heavyweight champ. He's made one defense. And Fury's last challenger (Chisora) won five of the 12 rounds against Usyk when they fought to a close decision. After Fury demolishes Usyk, Oleksandr probably won't even go down as the third best Fury fought, when Fury's career is said and done. I'm sure he'll face tougher challenges down the line. Unifications aren't always someone's best win. Just because the WBA took their belt from Bob Foster and gave it to Vicente Rondon, that didn't make Foster's KO of Rondon in their unification his best win.
Yes to both. Usyk is better than 39 year old Wlad and Wilder. Not to diminish those wins, they're great, but even so. Fury would dismantle all of Usyks previous opponents.
Fury would undoubtedly be Usyk's best win .... assuming you think Fury is better than post-Ruiz Anthony Joshua. (I do) From an ATG point of view Usyk and W. Klitschko are pretty close but I would say Usyk is better. However, from a heavyweight only perspective Usyk's accomplishments still aren't that high on the list. If Fury dismantles him or even just handles him without a problem it would be tough to say that Usyk is a better heavyweight win than Wilder or Klitschko.
Usyk has a GOATed Cruiser record, and as for heavies, already has AJ x2 on there.. Fury would be a step up, sure, but Usyk would also be Fury's best, over an ancient Wlad (who AJ beat in better fashion), and the same Wilder 3 times.. That's his whole resume. Usyk's heavy resume is almost equal, how sad is that
I'd favour Usyk to UD Wilder but it's interesting to envision how Usyk v Klitschko would go tho.. I mean he's better than Joshua.. Better footwork, ring IQ & jab etc.. & mentally more stable too.. I think after Fury dethroned him on home turf he had tipped over the edge just enough & was ripe for the picking by young lion Joshua, especially after inactivity.. He was slowly fading prior to Fury, the Jennings fight showed that but still the best HW barring Fury... I think that Klitschko still gives Usyk a helluva fight, & he's good against Southpaws too... wouldn't discount a SD type affair here either way.. Why not? A gun shy post Ruiz Joshua gave him some difficult rounds in the second.. I do think Usyk is quicker & more skilled than Klitschko but he doesn't have Wlads legacy at HW nor his physical attributes , and that win for fury tho boring is still historic.. overall I would say in terms of skill they would be each other's best win.. but on paper Wlad is the most accomplished heavyweight Fury has beaten.
The Dosser is a generational hype job. He won his world title from one of the weakest HW champions of all time who was tailor-made for him stylistically, was only able to hold onto it as long as he did thanks to the Wilder Bodyguard Council patently rigging their rankings with low to zero skill bums, most of whom fellow late starter NFL rejects, and the judges doing what they do over there and robbing the foreigner (an absolute shell of Belly) in the first fight He's beaten two world champions in 46 fights and one of them was shot to bits (2-4 in their last 6 fights, 3 of said losses via KO or stoppage, the 2 wins against nobodies. The fact his fans have to hype up the Luis Ortiz win so much who was two weeks shy of his 39th birthday in the first fight, whose head is a magnet for right hands, whose best win is either Bryant Jennings or Charles Martin, and who had never fought a legit puncher before says it all. The reason why they act like Ortiz is the second coming of SRR is because he's one of the few opponents of The Dosser who actually possesses a semblance of skill. The Dosser should be 0-3 in his own backyard against the only prime opponent he faced above C level. Let that sink in.
64-3 (11 year undefeated) Wlad's best performances: Byrd UD12, Haye UD12, Pulev KO5 42-0-1 Wilder's best performances: Ortiz KO10, Fury draw 20-0 Usyk's best performances: Briedis MD12, Joshua UD12 Usyk doesn't pose remotely the same KO/KD threat that Wlad or Wilder did but he's a much better pointfighter than Wilder and maybe better than Wlad too. How much trouble he gives Fury will factor in to how highly he's rated among Fury's opponents but he's certainly top 3.
0-4 He would have lost to Ortiz in their first fight if he didnt magically get an extra minute to recover after he was nearly out on his feet in rd 8 or 9
Definitely would be Usyk's best... And I am rooting for him all the way.... But if Fury sweeps Usyk aside (and I do feel there is a chance).... Then probably not... If Usyk pushes him to the edge then maybe.... Time will tell
Usyk hasn't surpassed Wladimir yet for me his resume hasn't got another filler, and Usyk needs to prove himself more at Heavyweight. Overall Usyk would be a better win for Fury when you factor in Wladimir's age, but if Fury had beaten a prime Wladimir it would rate above a Usyk win for me. If Usyk beats Fury though he has a very strong argument to surpassing Wladimir.
