This content is protected A few leaked clips from the spar. Both men landing some good shots. 3 weeks before Brook fought Crawford where it's been documented he didn't have a great camp in the lead up to that fight. Brook saying that Benn's team pulled the spar in the 8th of a scheduled 10 rounds as Benn said he injured his shoulder... Brook believing it was actually because he was ramping up the heat with his chocolate brownies.
It's a young man's game, Brook's going to be 37 in May and if your not "all in" when it comes to this sport, then it will only end with you looking up at the arena lights. You can't be half in half out. Hopefully he can find peace in retirement and dine out on that huge win over his biggest rival (from his era) and earned a good few quid in doing so.
Amir Khan, Kell Brook, and Manny Pacquiao are the obvious fights that need to be made for young Benn.
Surely even old Brook was able to handle an egged up Benn without much hassle? Big difference in natural ability
I see Brook-Benn going the same way as Smith-Eubank. Brook has too much experience and power, even at his current age. Would be a fun fight though, great blend of styles.
Look at that scumbag Benn sitting down on his punches in a sparring session. It’s sparring you hideous, angry little man (for some reason, when he has nothing to be angry about). He is a complete Toby.
Clearly released by Benn team. The way Benn made it sound it was a beat down, but the above is all they can find from 8 rounds of sparring. Gives you an indication the Manny talks are going nonwhere.
James Degale, Tony Bellew, Carl Froch, all have several things in common. One, they were all bloody annoying at some point, and an unlikeable bunch of gits at some portion of their careers. However, they all, also had something else in common. They were champions of Great Britain, and were considered one of, if not the best fighter at their weight in the UK at some point also. They fought proper tough opposition, (yeah even Bellew). Benn has done neither, and is on another level when it comes to annoying, unlikeable gits. I've literally never ever in over 40 years of both participating, and supporting the sport, seen a fighter I'd like to see beaten in humiliating fashion more. But I'd never also pay to see that happen, especially him against the likes of faded greats.
If Benn is not on the juice and the fight is fought at over 150 pounds then I give Brook a shot at winning
I actually quite liked Bellew the boxer (until the Haye thing started). The worst of his patter has been since Haye fights were signed and in retirement
