It's a weird thing to say and a weird threat. If they want 50/50 then demand it now. The idea of demanding it later is strange unless they wrote it up like that but even that is strange, because they already gave in.
If they didn't put it in some contract then Fury can jsut say no, he wants 70 again. Then how do they force 50?
If it's somehow contracted then shouldn't they hope that he moves from the date so they can get equal share?

Fury is in training camp with sugar so it seems like it’s a done deal but clocks ticking on the announcement?

They want the fight, not necessarily the money. At this point they are confident Usyk beats him. Fury moving the date around is going to be a trick to screw up Usyk's preparations.

They want to make sure the date is April 29, but Klimas misses something or he intentionally isn't mentioning it: what if the fight moves because of them? Exclude any back thoughts, could happen to anyone, so imagine Usyk gets some injury - how about then? At the same time, if the fight moves because of Fury, Klimas says "we never mention anything like June or August, it's never been under discussion" - fine, but should mention something however and should be under discussion. So they're keen to procrastinate if there's an opportunity (just as Usyk was unable to fight in December because of medical reasons, aside from the family one, yet were already preparing for the fight in January).

I reckon they'll still be negotiating the contract as fans are taking their seats in Wembley next month.

"If you don't make your ringwalk at precisely 10.06 pm I'm not coming out!"

As far as p4p goes Usyk is miles better than Fury. I'd even give him the absolute H2H advantage. The skills, resume and mental toughness speak for themselves. When you think about it, prime versions of Gassiev, Briedis and Joshua are better than Wilder and an old Wlad.

Hell, Usyk would have annihilated even a prime Wlad. That lighting fast footwork and southpaw straight left would have put Wlad flat on the canvas. Any version of Wlad that is.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fury bottles it and comes up with some bogus Mental Health (whatever that even means these days) excuse.

It means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's an internet boxing forum. Anybody who thinks that any of their posts here are important is delusional.

The size is the problem. A good big man will almost always beat a great little man he has 50 lbs on.

Yeah, but there's nothing shameful in it, Usyk is a generational talent.
