Why I love the JBC so much.
In 2018, Daigo Higa weighed in at 114 lbs for a Flyweight WBC title fight. JBC let him fight and then immediately suspended him indefinitely.
One of the conditions the JBC set for Higa´s return was that he had to move up in weight.
*Higa was the first ever Japanese world champ to miss weight.

HBO even at one point was contemplating adding a penalty clause for their contracts because fighters kept missing weight and KO´ing their opponents. That how bad things got early/mid 2010s.

Very unprofessional of Zurdo, it was already bad enough that they picked smaller shot fighter Gabe Rosado. But at least it wasn't like we missed anything special and I'm glad Rosado isn't going to take any more punishment. Zurdo just needs to go up to CW.

    Exactly.

Ramirez is a huge weight bully who clearly had ZERO intention of making weight and figured he could throw a few bucks at Rosado and he'd still fight. That way, Ramirez could weigh in the low 200s by the time the bell rang.

There should be some penalty here AND they should go back to weigh-ins the day of fights.

Moving the weigh-ins to the day before a fight IS A FAILED experiment. Just hold the weigh-ins the afternoon of the fight.

YOUR division is the weight you feel best fighting at when you're in the ring. Simple as that.

Enough of this drying out/then gorging nonsense.

Your weight division isn't how low you can dry out 30 hours before a fight.

He could have dropped that in a day or two, this was intentional.

Wtf what a god damn joke. Eddie taking some mauling this year. Was looking forward to that card, is it going ahead with Diaz headlining?

Good. This shouldn't have even been sanctioned in the first place. Zurdo should be ashamed of himself for taking the fight, let alone coming in this heavy for it. What a joke.

Zurdo is a disgrace. He is the definition of a weight bully. This was completely intentional. I'm proud of Rosado for walking away and making Zurdo look like a *****.

If you can't make 175, move up to cruiser. I hope his next opponent put a clause on the contract to fine him 20% for every pound he is overweight.

Rosado said Zurdo originally weighed in at 187, missing weight by 12 lbs.

He was 182.6 on his 2nd attempt.

It's the fact that Rosado was suppose to be an "easy" bout lol Zurdo can't even make it to the ring.

He was also a 40-1 favorite against Rosado.
