Golovkin has vacated his WBA belt

I'm sure it had to effect GGG'S psyche, not getting wins that you trained and fought so hard for and won, only to get a draw and a loss.

 

He had his chance in the first fight before Canelo figured him out in which he was too busy just jabbing while being coy over throwing power punches & going for the gusto doing what he did best as he had done to all his previous opponents & you could see in the post fight he was very content with getting the draw, just go back & look at his facial expressions & mannerisms he was too happy keeping his belts rather than getting the win that was already the first bad sign to come,

The second fight i felt was a clear Canelo victory although Golovkin gave a better account for himself this time or he really had no choice but too because of what Canelo kept bringing to him with his controlled pressure & power shots.

 

He could have fought Andrade in 2020 i guess, when he was 38 years old, but i'm sure he was trying to save himself for the Canelo trilogy fight. Now wouldn't be a bad time for GGG to hang them up, unless he has some serious new goals.

 

That's your opinion. In my eyes GGG won both, the eyes ringside media had it a land slide for GGG, in both fights. Canelo did better in the 2nd fight by coming forward relentlessly but still lost down the stretch. Who cares about the story of the fight. What matters is who really won the fight.

 

Yeah i never care for Commentary which is always biased one way or another even when they favor a fighter i am rooting for or not, plus same goes for the BS flip flop media, watching it without any commentary or even one i don't understand is the best go.

 

Golovkin was probably thankful they didn't rob him to the extent that they robbed Kovalev vs Ward in their first fight, stealing all Kovalev's hard earned belts. Although Golovkin won clearly, i was relieved they didn't steal his belts.

 

The man is 40 years old. It's time to retire.

I agree, when rewatching, i just mute it out completely, slow it down when necessary. Granted the judges don't have that option. What i notice about Canelo is, Canelo gets alot of credit because of the dynamic way he throws his punches, whether he lands cleanly or not.

No. Draw was the second most common score media score behind 116--112, and Bunce, Devon Alexander, Dan Rafael, Martin Murray and some MMA guy were part of the 116-112 contingent.

 

I disagree. I thought Chenko won 114-113.
