Joshua will regain some of his former popularity with a couple of good wins.

Franklin is a somewhat difficult sell, because he's poorly known and he has a dull defensive style. But Joshua will likely fight Whyte later this year, and score a KO.

It's crazy. 2 years ago if you told me AJ and Whyte would fight I'd be chomping at the bit to see it. Fast forward to now and it interests me personally very, very little.

Because his last two fights weren't exciting to the average viewer, and they're used to seeing him KO fighters or at least being involved in exciting fights.

He hasn't won a fight since 2020 when he KO'd Pulev.

In reality his career would be in better shape if he had vacated one of his belts and fought someone other than Usyk. Even if he was beat by Fury in an undisputed fight, he'd be a bigger draw because the fight would have been exciting for everyone.

But being outboxed by a master boxer is not entertaining for casual fans who just want excitement. Joshua was loved for KOing or getting KOd.

He needs to smash Franklin hard and then go on and fight someone else and smash them, then get involved in another big fight.

He eventually either needs to fight Fury or Wilder, or else he may as well just retire now. No point in trying to challenge Usyk again because I don't see Joshua ever being able to beat him.

Whyte and Chisora looked like crap v Fury so did Wllin, I feel Fury beat Wallin easily despite that cut.

This. Also, top modern boxers fight only once every 10-12 months. So once a defeat deflates the casual interest you have to sit around and ride the bench for a year before you even get a chance to get on TV. A loss is usually devastating for top fighters unless they win an immediate rematch.

Whyte is properly washed up. Povetkin finished him in Eddie's garden 3 years ago and he's never been the same since.

To be honest Joshua probably should be fighting Whyte next month as that's an easier fight.

The fact Sky don’t have anything to do with him is massive also. Hearns mouth and Sky Sports was a match made in heaven.

No he didn't give him his two toughest fights thought Breidis gave him his toughest fight, Hunter probably gave him a tougher fight along with a few others at cruiser, Chisora gave him a tougher fight than the first AJ fight.

To answer the OP though I think people can just see through his BS now.
