He won't be remembered for this though, because he didn't beat a champion to win his title, didn't meet a live body until Proksa in his fifth defense, and had a farcical second reign while Canelo was the real champion.

Ginger threatened to knock him out & retire him in the third fight . That never happened either .
An over 40 GGG gave Ginger too much respect in that fight & boxed him which Ginger punched air If GGG had started to fight a round or two earlier he'd likely have stopped Ginger . When that bell went Ginger was exhausted he could not have gone two more rounds GGG the old man was fresh as a daisy
The only good thing that came out of the GGG-Canelo trilogy was GGG was very well paid & though he was robbed blind Ginger could not hurt him. The fans & boxing people know what really happened & who really was the better fighter , Gennadiy Golovkin not the cash cow Ginger Alvarez

Canelo was NEVER the REAL Middleweight Champion he Never legitimately beat GGG vegas corruption
gave Canelo a bogus draw & a win to steal his titles

The Testes bashing Head butting Billy Goat Ward was every bit of a fraud Canelo is he robbed Kovalev TWICE with the help of the blind ref who didn't know where the foul line was He retired then because Beterbiev & co were waiting & he knew he could never beat them

Its funny how they keep pretending like GGG didn't really twice beat Canelo.

So you think Derevyanchenko is a A plus fighter?

No one mentioned him facing Canelo here so i don't why you brought that up, is it because he gave GGG a competitive fight & do you seriously believe that Canelo wouldn't be able to defeat him as you seem to be applying.

Yeah he should have just fought on instead of waiting for Canelo as the other greats in history have done, plus it made GGG look very desperate in the process just waiting around quietly to see what Canelo would do next whereas Canelo actually went ahead & kept fighting with larger goals insight which garnered more of his achievements,

Not only did Golovkin turn down multiple fight offers within that time with DAZN in the process understandably upsetting them once more but when he finally got his third chance at Canelo he still didn't bring his all in the ring that night,

And too think there's people i see around here still saying he'd done just enough & nicked a victory over him :roto2palm:

It was clear to see that Golovkin was content doing the bare minimal in-between the Canelo fights as he knew fighting an actual high level fighter wouldn't guarantee him a victory & another large fight,

Just look after the first fight he fights Vanes, then after the second he fights Steve Rolls & just went you think it can't be outdone he then decides to fight Kamil Szeremeta, that some's it up right there.

 no one is "supposed" to stop anyone really. Especially with two top level fighters. That's just fan/boxer hype talk
