how could he take all of them punches against chagaev and others back in the day and then take all of them punches off miller and still be stood up but then go down off a pitty patter body shot against Dave Allen and then barely hit against Paul Gallen is he a diver I know what a think fellas
There is a guy who posts on here who was involved with Lucas' management around the time. He said it was completely legit. Gallen hit him with a big shot behind the ear and he didn't recover. Gal probably got away with a few cuffing shots behind the head when he went into finish off. Supposedly Browne had looked good in training but many feel he didn't take Gallen seriously. I think Lucas just gave up against Allen. He wasn't in the best place mentally around that time.

I have to be honest, this thought crossed my mind when I was watching that fight. It's really the only plausible explanation.
It's very possible the fix was in. But anyone can be cought and hurt and Browse is over 40 with a couple of stoppages against him. Including a brutal KO by Whyte. Allen in fairness looked to be a well placed body shot and we've seen better fights than Browne stopped from a good body shot. Gallen sure it was odd but there were a lot of punches coming in...
I was having a breakfast near Browne last week when he arrived in Dubai. We stayed at the same hotel. I didn't wanted to bother him as he was having a breakfast with his lady but trust me this guy is huge. And we need to realize that HW guys in general are huge and sometimes it looks like they don't hit with much power, but it's just the cameras. Paul Gallen was back in the fight 225-230 lbs. Even if it looked like a lame punch, it most likely was hard enough to rock anyone. Also, it is very important how much concentration and efforts were put behind Browne's camp. And honestly Paul Gallen seems like a guy that can be underestimated.

Browne under estimated Gallen. Gallen bum rushed him that was his plan he even said post fight he was gonna go for Browne in round 1. I think the ref should have called time as Gallen hit him with many illegal shots. Browne should've been given 5mins to recover and Gallen lose a point. But hey that's boxing things happen so quickly you just gotta be ready.
