Fury has had an absolute 'mare here. His credibility is shot and it appears even his fanboys have had enough.
When it comes to boxing at least I've always defended him but unless he's got the mother of all excuses lined up then this is going to go down as a Riddick Bowe moment.

Will Fury still be fighting on April 29 at Wembley ? I still think this is to promote the fight and it'll be announced by the end of the week. If this is confirmed to be true, I can see a lot more people tuning in and supporting both Joyce and Joshua fighting this month.

 

If Fury wants to fight bums then he will have to get used to fighting at smaller places for a lot less money.

He's not going to get anywhere near selling out Wembley with a crap opponent. People have had enough of him after the Chisora fight

 

I hope you're right but I think you're being massively naïve. These guys have enough trouble getting fights made and it's their actual day job. The notion they can pull off these theatrics in unison for the sake of promotion (for a fight that doesn't need it) is fanciful to say the least. Plus Usyk's team are straight shooters. They don't go in for all these games.

If true - incredibly poor. I’m still holding on to the hope that it miraculously gets announced over the weekend (given the football) but I reckon it’s just wishful thinking.

Fury is deluded if he thinks people will continue maintaining interest in his career if he’s fighting anyone who isn’t Usyk, Joshua or Joyce.

Dreadful for fans, dreadful for boxing, dreadful for Fury's credibility.

Queensberry must be fuming here. He undermined months of their negotiations with K2 by going public with his 70/30 request - then got caught with his pants down when Usyk called his bluff. I hope they have insurance for their Wembley booking.

I'd love to know precisely what the demands were that caused Usyk to walk away. His team are nothing if not patient - so it must have been something ridiculous like demanding Usyk can't wear any of his sponsors logos, or that he has to pose with Furocity during the weigh-ins.

Fury's antics in the Klitschko build-up is what got me back into boxing. It's sad to see him going this way. A simple duck would have been more honest.

Hoping for Usyk vs Joyce in the late summer / autumn.
