I haven't seen the contract. If Usyk wants 70-30 in the rematch (as Chris Andre is claiming) when Fury doesn't even want a rematch clause, it's absurd to lay this all on Fury. And for all we know the fight will happen in April or soon after.
I’ve recently gotten into kickboxing and have not been disappointed so far. Seems like every other combat sport is getting the right matchups except boxing. There are some great fights this year, but the low for boxing was too damn long.
Usyk bent over backwards to make the fight happen and even though the deck was already stacked heavily against him he still made concession after concession that not only Belly wouldn't dare do in a million years if he was in the same position but very very few champions would. Greedy Belly told us all years ago he wanted no part of Usyk and he's done evertything in his power to make it impossible for Usyk to sign. He was the one who was being extremely difficult, greedy and unreasonable from the get-go. In fact, he's been talking the absolute **** from the get-go and the entire boxing world knows that too. He expects the three-belt unified King, former undisputed CW King, and current P4P King Usyk to bend over backwards and let him violate him and bow to his every demand and make all the concessions while he makes none. He still expects him to even thought the deck is already heavily stacked in his favour. Usyk is completely understandably sick and tired of being treated like a piece of crap and being disrespected after already having bent over backwards to make the fight happen. Greedy Belly has lost god knows how many fans, his credibility is completely shot not just in his own country but globally, and the general consensus among boxing fans across the globe is he's a greedy fat ducking coward fraud. Height, reach, weight, strength, power advantage, and every ridiculous demand being met just for Fury to back out. Probably the worst duck in history. There’s literally so much stacked against Usyk and the man is still happy to fight.
Fury wants the rematch to be 50/50 because Usuyk v AJ rematch was 50/50. The idea that one can use deals in other fights that Fury had nothing to do with as a reference point is ridiculous. It's irrelevant what Usuyk got in the rematch vs AJ.
The issue over the split is actually only if the rematch is in the UK - if it goes to Saudi its not a problem.
