I know this sounds an overreaction but I'm genuinely done with Boxing for a while, at least at this level. Drug cheats, fighters avoiding fights and trying to con the public whilst doing it, the sheer cost of trying to keep across all the platforms, channels etc. People may say that it's always been like this but for me it's hit the point I no longer care about the sport or the clown majority that exist in it.
Usyk promoter taking shots at Fury's PPV numbers for his last three fights on the latest IFL interview. Mentions how negotiations with matchroom and Saudi for previous fights was easy as there was fairness in negotiations.
It's such a bizarre claim by that guy. Very few were picking Parker to beat AJ anywhere, it's very easy to verify. Why would he lie so blatantly?
Which is why it makes no sense when Fury fans seem to blame matchroom for the AJ v fight not happening. It's only difficult negotiations when Fury is involved. Fury offered AJ 40% not expecting AJ to accept and once he did found other ways to get out of the fight. Fury offered Usuyk 30% not expecting him to accept and once he did again found reasons to stop the fight happening.
I’m not in anyway blaming Team Usyk for the fight falling apart but good luck to Usyk selling PPV’s for a fight against Hrgovic. Good chance Dubois won’t be recovered and ready for a fight in June. Not that that would be a big fight either.
[ The sooner this crop of heavyweights **** off the better. Fury, Joshua, Ruiz, Wilder etc. ****ing useless.
Does that mean he should just accept any old conditions then? You could apply the exact same logic to Fury. Good luck to him trying to sell his next PPV after flogging Chisora 3 and with how opinion has now changed.
I know things are very raw just now and everyone is disappointed and pissed off but if Fury fights a named opponent in the summer it would still sell out a football stadium. By the way I 100% think Fury was the party that caused this fight to fall apart and for the record I’ve been a big fan of his but have gone right off him in recent times.
The worst thing about all this is Sugar Hill wasn't in the country to train Fury. That was a lie. The fight was never on. I felt like it could be salvaged but apparently not because Fury never wanted it.
Haha can't believe people actually still reply to mitch. He's been writing the exact same stuff since 2018 and then slightly changes goalposts when one of his heroes loses or if one of AJ/Whyte's former opponents lose to nobodies in his eyes.
^ It’s been blatantly obvious for years that Fury doesn’t want to fight Usyk. He knows it’s his toughest fight and his ego won’t be able to cope with a defeat to a much smaller man.
