Beat him? Possibly….School him ? No ….such a fighter does not exist yet ….He might be a 10 year old kid in a boxing gym right now
Once someone gets to that level it just isn't happening. Same with a 147 SRR, a 135 Duran etc It's hard enough trying to find someone that might have a chance of beating them letting alone dishing out a schooling.
I think Joy Joyce might not "school him " per se, but he could certainly wear him down for an emphatic and brutal KO
There are no boxers in history I would favor over the 67 Ali. Some may have good chances though. But schooling him? No way.
The only possibly way I can conceive of a scenario is where maybe someone really worked young alis body and was able to bully him moving forwards. If a fighter were to do that, you could argue the "schooled" Ali in body punching and swarming technique since those just weren't his style. I guess fighters I think most likely able to do something along that line would be Marciano, Frazier, Tyson and holyfield. I don't favor any of them to win tbh, but you could argue they could give Ali "a lesson" in some boxing techniques he hardly ever used. But I'm stretching here and generally agree with the sentiment that nobody is making prime Ali look like he doesn't know how to fight.
Don't know if they would school him, but the prime versions of the following boxers all beat him: Tyson, Lewis, Fury, the Klitschkos, Holyfield, Usyk. Bowe and Holmes might also do it.
Can't tell if trolling. Joe Joyce would be chasing smoke trails. One of the slowest HW of all time vs the fastest.
"School" him? Nobody. The only one I might give an even chance of beating him would be FOTC Frazier. Have a chance of winning at least one in a trilogy? Sure. At their very best, maybe Louis (most likely to win their second match), Tyson (most likely to win their first match), and Lewis (also most likely to win their second match). Maybe Wlad, actually. If I could make those fantasy fights happen, the first I want to see is Tyson. 67 Ali vs. 88 Tyson -- holy cow would that be something. I'd need to watch the entire fight a second time, in slow motion, to fully appreciate everything that happened.
He may indeed run all night, but I still think JJ would get him cornored eventually. Ali used to love laying on those ropes.
No, no heavyweight in history would "School" Ali of 1967". But fighters like Frazier , and Tyson would give him pure hell..... There styles matched well with his. Though I still would pick Ali to beat them. Joe Joyce??? If he dreamed of beaten Ali he'd wake up and apologize. Of his own volition.
