Again you prove you're a hypocrite. Early in our back and forth you said that "ATG" isn't about hypothetical H2H ability but about accomplishments and fighting the best, I agree. Holyfield was great but he was a former 190 pounder at a massive size, strength and power disadvantage and Bowe went 2-1 with him in three wars, along with being bashed up by Golota and ducking Lewis. His next best opponent may be light punching backfoot boxer Larry Donald, who didn't show much heart for battle and got destroyed by Vitali. Or perhaps it's Golota, who was KO'd in 1-2 rounds by Lewis, Tyson, Brewster and Ray Austin... Fury has more great heavyweight moments and fights than Bowe: round 12 of Fury-Wilder 1 was one of the great rounds and moments in heavyweight history (especially amazing considering the fight took place within 6 months of the Seferi comeback exhibition), Wlad and Wilder 2 were two of the greatest ever heavyweight performances and Fury-Wilder 3 was one of the greatest ever heavyweight fights, to cap off one of the greatest trilogies. All of these fights were on the road, Fury was the B-side and Fury was the underdog in 3 of 4, against two of the biggest punchers in heavyweight history, who were 6'5+, athletic and historically long-reigning champions and he went 3-0-1. Fury is already greater than Bowe, by any objective measure. Bowe was almost exactly 2 years younger than Lewis in the Olympics, 21 vs 23. But it doesn't excuse Bowe never fighting Lewis when they were the clear top 2 heavyweights ability-wise for several years. You can't criticise Fury for ducking (the era isn't even over: the Usyk fight could well happen this year) and then defend Bowe with any real logical consistency. You don't like modern fighters, don't rate them (or pretend not to) and you love fighters from 30-50-70 years ago, duckers or not. Just admit it.
I’m only in my thirties mate I don’t remember as far back as you think. If I didn’t like current boxers why, as already stated, would I go to about 10 fights a year, mostly of which are in the US. You are constantly banging the Fury drum during a week where the vast majority of other posters here and also boxing fans in general have worked out what a fraud he is. Laughable. I'm sure you like modern boxing (it has an inherent massive advantage over old fights for entertainment value in that it's unpredictable: Frazier-Ali 1 wouldn't have been all that exciting if you already knew the result) but prefer aspects of 90's, 70's or 50's boxing or prefer those fighters in general. It no doubt helps to be older than 30 to prefer past eras but it's not mandatory. As an American (assuming you are) there is a tendency to look fondly upon the "glory days" when the marquee division was monopolised by the U.S. Another hypothesis (not mutually exclusive) is that you despise Fury for one of any number of reasons and thus can't think about him with any objectivity at all. All are probably accurate. Fury is my favourite fighter, it's no secret. But I also bang the Usyk drum in threads where he's unpopular, the Wilder drum (which is always a lively thread) and even in rare cases the AJ drum. But it's a big pantomime at the end of the day, boxing and the boxing forums.
I don’t despise Fury at all, don’t be soft and I don’t dislike any boxers, stop being so judgmental. I’ve barely seen any fights from the 70s, let alone the 1950s. I’m not American, for the record I’m English, which is why I post on the English forum.

Ten fights per year, most of which are in the US? Not bad! How do you manage that? Must have some flexibility. I'm not a big fan of the US, but would have loved to have been there for some of the big MSG shows etc.
Interesting as I don’t like going to boxing shows over here. Reasoning is that I usually go with the wife and some of the fans over here do my head in, all coked up and kicking off. Security at MSG and the Grand Garden Arena is cracking, they don’t take any crap from idiots so I prefer it there especially with the mrs in tow (plus I love international fights of course). Love a 2 nighter in NY it’s so easy to travel on a Friday and be back at work on Monday morning. I appreciate that I’m lucky that I’ve been to the Garden loads of times. I love it. You’ll love it too mate.
I’m the same as you mate. Loved my experience watching sport in America. Went for boxing but fitted in the Yankees v Red Sox too. Totally different feel to it. I like going to cricket in England but boxing (and most others sports) these days are full of stone island wearing numpties off their nut wanting a scrap.
Agree bud, I love watching boxing over there. I was at cricket for most of last week and although it was fun catching up with mates, Lords is no where near as much of a laugh as in the Hollies stand at Edgbaston. That is a riot with the fancy dress and top banter against the Aussies and the fans are never any trouble.
Bang on. In my humble opinion wont fight this year. But back on track Felix vs Ammo is a great grudge match. I DO think this might happen., They're not heavyweights are they?
