Caleb looks in nick man, he has really impressed me during fight week. He looks focused and in tremendous shape.

I don't like to go overboard on weigh-ins, but Benevidez comes in a pound and a quarter under after a week at weight, looking drawn? I think Caleb has had the better fight week by distance.

It's going to be a good fight. A bright spot in the blight of fight cancellations and Fury ducks.

I haven't liked how Benividez has looked with his new chiseled physique in the lead up to this at all. He's shed fat, added muscle, and he's looked drawn for weeks. I noticed the skin on his face was very tight weeks ago and it's more the fact he's looked that way for so long which worries me.

Coming in that much under the SMW limit doesn't alleviate my concerns either. It looks to me like he's planning on coming in lighter on fight night too and I think it could affect his punch resistance. Maybe he'll balloon all the way back up to the mid 180s after the weigh in and will look how he usually does after rehydrating.

That being said, Plant seems extremely confident and I've seen interviews with numerous fighters who've shared a ring with him (sparring) who say he can crack hard so that in addition to my concerns regarding Benavidez sways me to give him a little better chance than I initially did.

I think Benavidez is a bit special and a beast at the weight and he should be too big, powerful, and talented for Plant but I do concede that the later is probably a bit better than I credited him with being and if Benavidez isn't his usual self it could be a more difficult assignment for him than I anticipated. But if he is his usual self I have him winning via brutal stoppage.

Benavidez looking like he's a member of a breakdance crew has got me a little worried too. An image change, bad haircut, stupid beard or mustache before a big fight is always a terrible idea and best believe it can absolutely lose you the fight.

I'm 65 years old and seeing the above picture of Benavidez actually gives me delusional thoughts that I could kick his a.s. Certainly not a good look for him.

Benavidez has the most unfortunate body genetics of any boxer. even when he drains himself to make weight, he has love handles

Benavidez is terrified of one thing, not making weight. It has hurt him twice. If he misses weight on the big stage his career won’t last long. That’s why he looks the way he does leading up to this fight. Maybe if he stayed in shape and work out year round instead of the few months leading up to a fight. That’s what world class fighters do if they want to reach the top. There are exception at the heavyweight but for other weight class this is the norm.

Benevidez might have came in too light! I haven't been this hyped for a fight in a long while!

Benevidez said he's been on weight for a week and he weighed in at 166.75 lbs.

I don't if that helps him or hurts him.

He looks like a 1980's scouser at the weigh in.

Benavidez clearly struggling with the weight cutting. Time to move up rather than hanging around and begging for a Canelo payday IMO.

Plus he looks like a Puerto Rican tranny hooker these days with that hair and saggy chest.
