Canelo had Caleb backing up all night so David is going to eat this dude alive. I don't see it going 4 full rounds. Maybe Plant lands one or two clean shots to the head and we'll see how well Benevidez handles it, but he is getting stopped I am very certain. Charlo will then talk some talk but never actually get in the ring with him because that is what he does.
Plant can stretch this fight pretty easily. David isn't exactly GGG when it comes to cutting off the ring. The snappy jab Dirrell gave him was slowing down his offense significantly. I don't think you're wrong to think Plant gets stopped, but I think you're wrong to think it'll be that easy. Plant will be his best win should he pull it off.
I really want to see Plant at least give Benevidez some type of scare, like a kd or have him in unchartered waters. I just don't believe I will see it.
Plants movement alone is enough to give Benavidez problems. I don't think this fight will be a blow out like alot of people seem to think it will be.
We'll see. Plant is phenomenal condition year around, and is an excellent boxer. David coming in at 166 could hurt him, his shoulders dont look defined and he looks drawn out. Even in his interviews hes fumbling his words, i think he might have overtrained. And i think Plant senses that.
We'll see who the real bully is. Benavidez has fought no one. Plant has a little bit of bully in him too. People keep comparing Canelo to Benavidez, no comparison as one has one of the fastest reactions, hands & timing in the game and the other is slow. If Plants gets on him, he might hurt him before the 5th Plant by KO.
It's going to be an interesting fight, I am leaning D Benny but I wouldn't be surprised if Plant pulled it off. I think that D Benny has disrespected Plant to the point of no return. Plant got his mind made up and fully intends to beat David's ass.
The catch is, I've literally never seen David in phenomenal condition, while almost all of his opponents have been, and it hasn't helped any of them either. Plant barely won anything off of Canelo and outboxing Uzcategui is no great feat, neither is outboxing Anthony DIrrell. David has also never been all that articulate. So I wouldn't read anything into those two observations. Plant does not have the power or skill to keep Benavidez off of him for very long, No one has.
But has he been this light and looked this drawn out? I think he focused too much on losing the weight and less on Plant and that would be a big mistake if he didnt prepare for whats in front of him. We'll see how he looks tommorow night.
Yeah, usually. He came it at 166 against Lemieux as well, and is typically at around 167. I don't think I've ever seen him look all that hot on the scales. So I wouldn't read much into it.
