Obviously since that's been the plan along and will be Fury's next opponent. They've already sparred each other so Tyson is confident he will win.
Tyson” the duck” Fury will not fight Usyk, Joyce , or Joshua it’s too risky , he will continue crushing cans
Slow, durable, made of granite, grind you down type of fighter who is 37 and hasn't had his step up against the very elite vs. ATG slick southpaw holder of 3 HW belts coming off of two big wins who has handily defeated the aforementioned fighter. A real thinker, that one.
I think Fury knows he has Joyce's number. Usyk he's not sure about. "Fury has described Joyce as being a plodder, a slow starter, one paced, stiff, lacking boxing ability and big pro fight experience and picked Dubois to KO him early due to Dubois being younger, fresher and a big puncher and in good form, though he did credit Joyce as being determined, aggressive, fit, durable, put him “up there with anybody in the division”, said Joyce could compete with him and “give anyone a good fight”. Joyce described 2018 Fury as “the best I’ve ever shared a ring with” and picked him to beat Usyk, who had previously dominated Joyce. Joyce has no pro experience against a serious opponent within 3 inches of Fury in height or within 20 lbs of Fury in natural weight. Mover Jennings (who gave Joyce his closest fight and took him 12) had by far the longest reach and it’s still shorter than Fury’s."
I just gave the Gypsy King a call and he emphatically denied thinking Joyce was an easier fight than Usyk. Thanks for asking.
Joyce is easier in that he will be right in front of Fury and easy to hit. Usyk will make Fury look slow and plodding.
No way Fury fights Joyce. He will fight some UFC plodder such as Ngou or whatever he's called, then publish his third autobiography while wearing zany Christmas pyjamas. Boxing is in the doldrums. Thank goodness for Jake Paul.
Yes. He is slow, good but not great, and easier to apply control game against—not easier to push around or rough up, but leverage bocks, smothering, and all kinds of joint blocks to spoil his offense would work just fine. Usyk is called the cat for a reason; try to play with his centerline and CoG and he might find a way to answer with scoring shots or slick away. Slick southpaws are in my mind what elite pressure fighters were to Ali. He doesn't like the game they want to play. Fury is outstanding against the killer puncher or plodder type as he is usually the more mobile, faster, more skilled, and awkward fighter, making opponent's attempt of landing a flush knockout punch miserable. His size completes the picture, adding mass and reach to stop any man on the planet from walking him down. The slick master boxers though? They don't care about how fast he is, because they've seen faster. His chin doesn't matter because they only look to score. His boxing skills are good but not on par with true virtuosos, and the southpaw game means he is on a foreign territory non-stop.
Yeah but after the fight he'll treat the paying customers to what they've all come to see. "A long long time ago, I can still remember...." What a showman . True champion.
I can't imagine him fight any of them. My prediction for Fury is: 2023: Ngannou 2024: 1. Parker, Ruiz, Dubois or maybe Bakole 2. defending his exuse-belt in a wrestling match against Brock Lesnar Then 2 years of retirement 2027: Calling out Usyk
Joyce brings a typical straightforward fighter The middleweight brings the unknown Fury cant budge him mentally Cant bully him Cant out man him Fury would never go to any front line He as no edge on the middleweight only size And if he were to lose to said middleweight Do you see another lapse in mental health Depression Don't know But this is my take He as no edge
