I have a feeling that Plant is going to come out blazing in the 1st round to get his respect and then try to control the rounds.

This is what Benavidez does to "slick" fighters, Caleb Plant will share a similar fate. Not sure what plant the Plant supporters are smoking, but it evidently contains very strong hallucinogenic properties. Probably the Nelo herb. Benavidez does everything better than Plant, and stylistically, he's far more problematic than stumpy armed plodding Canelo. Benavidez will stop Plant several rounds quicker than Alvarez. I'm not saying that because I dislike Canelo, I picked Canelo to stop Plant as well. Merely being logical.

I think Benavidez will win but i don't think it will be a blow out. Plant isn't trash he will come in looking to win he's not going to lay down for Benavidez and will be able to expose and exploit his flaws at times.

I think they scrubbed the video of 250lbs heavyweight 12 year old David Benavidez throwing sick combinations off the Internet but in case anyone in this thread hasn't seen it, it exists, somewhere.

Losing weight is no thing for this guy! He can exist in every weight class at the same time.

I thought David would struggle to make 168, surprised he came in that light.

plants speed should be a problem for 5-6 rounds until he slows i expect a 8-4 7-5 9-3 type of win for benavidez or a late tko even though i rooting for plant.

David looked gaunt at the weigh in. I don't think they prepared him correctly for this fight. I am thinking about putting a few bucks on a Plant decision.

I see this as a 50/50 fight. Neither of these guys are elite. The hype surrounding Benavidez is almost as laughable as the hype around Zurdo leading up to the Bivol fight. Once Benavidez leaves this wasteland of a division he's going to be cannon fodder for the top guys at 175.

He would have never even gotten to that Canelo fight in the first place if he hadn't successfully avoided Benavidez in years prior, after getting beat & payed & now being stuck between a rock & hard place Plant had very little choice but to proceed into this fight,

Doing interviews talking about how all of sudden he cares about the fans, his legacy & fighting the best, gimme a break

Exactly. Dude has a lot of people fooled solely off of getting kod by Canelo. “Plant is humble and doesn’t talk smack”. So who was that doing all the yapping at the Canelo pressers? “Plant has a high iq and great footwork”. Against who? “Plant has the experience edge”. 30 years old with 23 fights against a guy who is 26 with 26 fights. That’s some weird math. “David fights bums”. Ok, cool, he’s said so himself. Before Plant was picked by Canelo, who did he ever fight? Nobody. Now while I see Benavidez winning, I don’t blurt out guarantees. Plant could win, but I definitely favor DB a lot more. It’s boxing. Both fighters have a chance to win, some just have a better chance.

Spot on man great points made,

Plant is humble lol, this is the kind of thing that happens when your not a looked out for Star where people completely miss or don't pay enough attention to what that fighter had said or did in his past due to their irrelevancy up until they eventually get their big shot at the money fight,

Then all of a sudden the experts come out full of comments of repetitive stolen opinions of others from the net, in actuality likely having not even watched a full fight of that fighter & aren't able to name the last 5 opponents that he faced,

Coming up with every known platitude consisting of "He's very slick & skilled", "Great challenge", "live contender" & my favorite " he will easily outbox him up until he loses focus/ gets stopped"

    Got to love it.
