This. It would have all been worked out over the next week or so to find a middle ground but Tyson didn’t allow the time. Neither party was in a rush and both to blame as neither really wanted the fight in December. It was all caused by Tyson being a dip**** on social media and everyone had to run with it to save face.

but this contract will be the one that prevails next summer.

Not following those forum dramas, nor users. Plus, I am a new one and you know - an alt of like two or three others.

Joshua publicly accepted terms then failed to sign for financial reasons.

If he was not a few bob short of being a billionaire then I would accept he needs the money and understand.

Now Fury's tune up fight has been ducked by Joshua, time to move on to similar cannon fodder in Chisora or Charr then onto the real tests in the division against Usyk and Joyce.

@Mitch87 has had Wilder in his top 10 for years, he even had Wilder at 4(!) after Wilder KO'd Breazeale in 1 (who Mitch described as a "solid fringe contender" on AJ's record, like Takam) and Ruiz destroyed Joshua:

In another stopped clock moment, Mitch also picked Wilder to KO Pulev before Joshua fought him:

Helenius is Wilder's next opponent, who went the full 12 rounds with Chisora and Whyte (officially beating Chisora) and KO'd 3 titlists, as well as Teper and Kownacki x2 on the road, as a big underdog. Mitch has referred to Helenius as being "high Euro level" and "too dangerous for Wilder", as well as one of Whyte's most notable wins, despite Helenius being in poor form and coming in on short notice against Whyte.

Assuming Wilder beats Helenius, his next opponent should be Joshua's first conqueror Andy Ruiz, who Joshua couldn't stop across two fights. So if Wilder schools and KO's Mitch's formerly No.1 ranked heavyweight it's going to be impossible for him to keep up his charade, especially as he's picked Ruiz to KO Wilder "early-mid". Mitch will suddenly, by his own logic, have to regard Wilder as "great wins" on Fury's record, just like Whyte!

Nonsense. Joshua accepted his split and very high level terms for a rematch.

The contract is for a promotion, supporting both the fighters, the promoters, respective TV and commercial interests, and the undercard; Fury doesn't seem to understand any of that with his strange deadlines.

Hope that is the end of it now and this tune up fight for Fury never happens.

Fury v Usyk and/or Joyce or Usyk v Joyce in 2023 is what boxing needs.

I’d really like to see this - but I cannot be bothered with 6 weeks of nonsense on ‘splits’ etc, analysis of Tyson Fury insta stories etc only for it to fall through.

Fury needs to beat usyk first.

Pretty disrespectful to usyk the way they are talking.

Plus I imagine Joshua has to keep winning which isn't a given
