This don't look good. Dodgy ticket sales. Bet they don't want lol another meltdown if Franklin pulls an upset lol. The pr propaganda campaign against Mr Fury. (Joshua loss, could replace Fury in the media) Makes sense to pull it.
Really dont think they care about ticket sales to be honest as long as enough people sign up for DAZN.
Gave them 1p short of £100 notes for 12 months and will be fuming should this fight be cancelled. Very impressed with the content on Sky Channel HD so far and hopefully the live shows will flow as planned.
When has Matchroom ever pulled a show. I can't remember the last time. Even when main even fighters get injured they still run the show as they make sure the undercard fighters still get an opportunity to get paid.
Well yes I suppose. They had no choice to not going ahead once the board said they wouldn't sanction the fight. They couldn't continue with that ppv without the ppv main attraction.
Nearly sold out is a bit disingenuous of Eddie, they had the entire 02 open when tickets first went on sale. They've now closed off 5,000 seats. Also if you look at the 02 website there are some left but what they have done it's lobbed more on Stage Front because no one uses it, so if you just look at 02 it appears there aren't many left. When in fact there is a good chunk still for sale.
Joshua knocks out Franklin. Usyk style is all wrong for AJ. I said it was a bad fight to take in the first place. Franklin is the perfect opponent to come back and win well. The ticket sales won't matter much because his next fight he will sell out easy. Whyte will be next and then possibly fury the 1 after. This fight won't be pulled.
it could have been part of your monthly subscription. Undercard would have cost very little with the majority of the budget on the main event. anyway, all irrelevant now.
Franklin is defo a good opponent to come back to as he is all of the things Joshua loves in an opponent he is small about 6' (he's defo not 6 foot 2) fat and rubbish he also has not beaten anybody decent in his life and is already nearly 30. Saying that the only thing he's not got that Joshua loves is being near or over 40
30% grossed more at the gate than the Breazeale fight @ the O2 That's a big difference in ticket prices between those two fights.
