Canelo hits plenty hard himself and will find an easy target with Benavidez.

That said, I do see some parallels in the sense that he will take over the fight in the second half. If Canelo is able to hurt him to the body will be a telling factor in the outcome.

I see Canelo winning a dubious decision.

I actually disagree. I think Canelo spends the whole 12 rounds with his high guard looking for counters. Benavidez swarms all over Canelo.

Not at SMW he hasn't....Plant was the only 1.

Fielding and Yildirim aren't even worth talking about, BJS hasn't got better hand speed or accuracy than Benavidez....better boxing ability yes. Callum Smith also has nowhere near the hand speed or boxing ability as him, accuracy yes....same goes for GGG in the 3rd fight.

Canelo takes a lot of shots, but none of them land clean enough to have wobbled him thus far (maybe Bivol side)

The only thing Benavidez has going for him is his chin, stamina, and power. Nothing wrong with just those three traits. He is a relentless pressure that continues to throw punches for 12 rnds and yes he is slow. this style may work against Canelo but I’ve yet to see someone who eats a shot to land a shot against Canelo actually pull it of.

Also If you think BJS doesn’t have faster hands and more accurate then Benavidez and you also think Canelo gets hit a lot , then there is nothing more to be said.

I don't see how he's slow. He's got very good handspeed and his counters are very fast. He's demonstrated in many fights where his combos are blazing fast.

Here is an example of Benavidez's handspeed.

So the "only" thing he has going for him according to you are actually the 3 biggest attributes you need to be at world level behind ring IQ?

& how you think the guy is slow is beyond me, yes I think he has faster hands than BJS.....BJS is quick is terms of sharpshooter but in terms of combination/flurry shots for me it's Benavidez.

The thing about body shots is they sap your gas tank. Canelo UD12 in a close, competitive fight like Jacobs or maybe even GGG2

I guess in a way you're only as easy to hit as much as the opponent is willing to let his hands go.

His chin, how we came to that conclusion is he gets hit a lot. Against less opponent that works. Yea, Benavidez is slow compared to his opponent. If you can’t see that then you just don’t want too.

I’m no Canelo fan boy but if fight happen I see a Canelo stopping him. A guy that eats a punch to land a punch is taylor made for him. Guys that punch and move are what troubles hom.

Canelo Alvarez is not a bum picked up from streets. He has world championships in four different weight classes and he has defeated best of the best.

It's true we are all angry with him for robbing Golovkin twice, however suggesting a green fighter like Benavidez (who hasn't achieved even half of what Canelo has) could defeat Canelo is ridiculous and beyond the limit.

Benavidez isn't even in the same league with Canelo.

David didn't show everything because plant moved around but what really messed it up was all the holding , which would disrupt the exchanges . The holding really saved Plant from a complete battering. I do not see Canelo holding as a tactic to disrupt exchanges when in the pocket. Canelo has for the last few fights been loading up too much on his power shots. He would need to go back to more fluid combo punching and attack the body , otherwise I think David will just overwhelm him with activity.
