Why would they need the BBBof Control’s permission to box each other in the UAE? Surely they had no jurisdiction there and Benn is no longer licensed by them. Unless its maybe because Eubank still has a British license and somehow that gives the British board the authority to approve or disapprove where he is allowed to use their boxing license to box?
Really don't want to watch Benn fight, but the build up will be gold. Imagine Eubank Jr winding him up constantly through out the build up. Conor isn't the brightest and will struggle to come up with any answers to Juniors jibes.
Eddie Hearn will be spending more money on lawyers than Frank at this rate. Thought all along Eddie should have potentially lost his license over the
It's an admirable stance but sadly, all I think it means is Conor Benn will have to drop his case against the board if he wants the board to allow him to fight in the UAE. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how the board will suddenly grow a set of balls.
Will be very interesting how they can ban/fine people that have done nothing wrong. Surely would open them up to yet more court cases. There will be plenty of precedent set where they have already done this in the past and allowed it to go on. Benn without doubt need to deal with this in Britain but given he has a pending £3.5m lawsuit against them and everything that has gone on how can it possibly be an unbiased investigation. Only have to look at the dubious officiating and the dodginess of the board in the past. Only way forward is if a completely independent panel was formed for the hearing
It does. But there’s been examples not as high profile where the board have granted permission for license holders against fighters that having pending hearings in other jurisdictions. Only takes one of those to be cited in a court case and they are in a tricky situation
The whole thing is shocking and disgusting. The guy failed 2 drugs tests and the B sample is no where to be seen. Absolute low point for boxing. Always knew Benn was vermin.
Think that is Cash’s third pullout in a couple of years, and he was moaning at Hearn for not getting him opportunities as well, cheek of it. Also not sure anyone will agree, but since covid the amount of pullouts seems to have shut right up, seems to be one on every card nowadays…
