On Hearns interviews with Boxing Social today he ended it with "Big Signings on the way, watch out for Friday". Anyone significant currently a free agent?
I haven't saw the interview, is there anything said to suggest whether it's a domestic or international signing?
Not really but I was thinking domestic but then again maybe an international fighter using the AJ weigh in to be the platform to announce with all the media being there.
It could be the Abu Dabhi card gets announced Friday Benn/Eubank Jr. Then you think who could be on that card, I'd guess Sunny Edwards
Yeah could be Prograis vs Catterall lands on the Abu Dabhi card aswell, then one or both of those are new signings aswell.
Fantastic signings by Matchroom, especially Sunny Edwards. He can have fights against Rodriguez, Martinez and Galal Yafai in the future. Didn't Catterall sign with Boxxer ?
Think he did just before the Kinahan fall out, guess they couldn't have anything to do with him after that. Then he signed with Probellum and no-one could touch the Josh Taylor rematch.
It's been a while since I heard Sunny Edwards has signed with Matchroom. A really good signing. Matchroom can match Sunny Edwards in a lot of different fights, all of which are relatively cheap.
He signed with boxxer after leaving Probellum as they promised him the Taylor rematch and said he had to sign with them to get it. After they dropped the ball badly he asked for his immediate release as they could no longer offer him the Taylor fight.
I hope Catterall can get some decent fights whoever he is working with,he's a good fighter.Its a long time since the Taylor fight he deserved to win and his career has stalled a bit just as he was raising his profile
If Warrington cannot sell out Elland Road v Selby, if Bellew cannot sell out Goodison Park v Makabu with half the stadium closed in both cases, if Joshua cannot instantly sell out the O2 Arena on Sat, Sunny will do well to sell out the York Hall.
