How would Bivol and Beterbiev do in 12 round fights against the following: Level 1: Anton Christoforidis Level 2: Gus Lesnevich Level 3: Georges Carpentier Level 4: Jimmy Bivins Level 5: Tommy Loughran Level 6: Billy Conn Level 7: Gene Tunney Level 8: Michael Spinks Level 9: Archie Moore Level 10: Ezzard Charles Where do they stop? Do they even stop?
Yeah but Is there anybody out there that they can beat to be considered proven? You just gotten take them as they are now. Everybody now knows how they fight an what they can do
Too many unknown variables to answer in a time machine H2H sense. E.g. - Timescales of the weigh in, same say or day before (more significant for AB than DB)? Glove type, fight/round length, ref, rules, PEDs, impact of legal sports science/supplements/etc? With regards to how great they proved themselves to be relative to their own eras, if they get as far as Bivins at level 4, he s%*ts all over both of them.
They'd both quite easily make it to Bivins, and then things get tough. Both could beat Bivins; although they could both absolutely lose to him. If given the benefit of the doubt against Bivins, they both, IMO, are clear underdogs against Tommy Loughran. I expect it to stay that way, with Beterviev's age.
But if they both unproven like you said how will either of them be proven if all they are doing is beating another unproven fighter?
Against Bivol it would be a good back and forth, but Beterbiev would be too high volume for him, mixed with his brutal power Conn would crumble. Beterbiev doesn't hit as hard as Louis, but he doesn't have to, his power is good enough and his volume and work rate are much higher
