Australian team for the IBA World Championships in Uzbekistan in May. Good luck to all the boys & let's hope they bring home plenty of bling. The Women's team brought home two silvers & a bronze & were robbed of a gold that would have been our first in either Olympic or World Amateur championships competition. Middleweight Callum Peters won silver at the Commonwealth games while Super Heavy Teremoana is a fighter that I think has great potential. Let's hope they can advance in the tournament & get some good experience out of it.

Yeah, I did hear that Jai was thinking about signing with NL, but they were also exploring several overseas options.

 

A No Limit announcement airing on Fox\Kayo on the 4th of April last time I looked.

My toes were curling for our ANZAC cousins hearing Advance Australia Fair and chants of Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

 

It's still all one-way traffic on The Boxing Scoreboard. To show what good sports we are, I'm not calling it just yet (i.e. confirming that Australian boxing is more than three times better than the rest of the world combined). Instead, I'm giving the rest of the world a chance to catch up. To prove that there's more to their game than meets the eye (noting, of course, that the numbers don't lie). We won't be favourites in a lot of the upcoming fights. That doesn't really matter though. I expect to win most of them regardless.

I'm also hearing that Australian boxing's Cruiserweight stocks have been bolstered by the addition of a recent Kiwi Olympic medalist. Plenty of talented big men up there in Queensland, that's for sure. What about this for a line-up? Jai Opetaia (CR), Floyd Masson (CR), David Nyika (CR), Justis Huni (H), Django Opelu (H) & Teremoana Jr (SH). Can't wait to see Nyika challenge for a world title to the strains of Advance Australia Fair.
