This Frankling guy was in better shape compared to his last fight vs Whyte and seems very durable fella but is short and lacks punching power, this was a clinch fest. Should have made Whte vs AJ rematch or even Chisora instead.

Rewatching the in-ring post fight interview, i realized the DAZN interviewer was holding on to the mic the whole time, even when AJ was holding it. As if he didn't want to let AJ run off with the mic and embarrass himself like he did at the end of the Usyk fight.

These fights are Sunday morning in Australia. I run a session at 9am at the gym on Sundays.

I usually get up nice and early and find a stream and watch the fights from England. I've gotten up at 4am for past fights.

I got up this morning for a **** at 5am and went back to bed. When I got up later, I remembered that the fight was on.

That's about where I am with watching Joshua until he fights someone again. And if he does fight Fury or Wilder...it's going to be an embarrassing night for him. Keep the microphone away.

Such a boring fight, I went to bed by the 10th round.

Not sure what this new trainer of AJ has brought to the table, looked more cautious than ever in there last night

There’s a difference between being a trainer/coach and puppetry. You can’t make a guy something he is not or make him do something he’s unwilling to do.

Like the line in the boxing comedy ‘The Great White Hype,’ where the guy (actually a publicist not a trainer) says, ‘I cannot make caviar out of fish eggs!!!!’

AJ is what he is. A trainer can’t make him something else. He’s gunshy.

I told you. Bodybuilder is done and Belly too.
Usyk is the only senior HW arouund. Facts. The only solid menaces for him are represented by Joyce and Ruiz. Usyk would school punchers like Bum Squad, Hrgovic, Makhmudov or Dubois. So..long life to the King... unfortortunately reigning in a ruined category.

Anyone else get the distinct impression that AJ was completely ignoring Derrick James in between rounds? He looked disinterested and i'm sure I even saw him rolleyes at one point to James continued 'pow, pow, BOOM' instructions.

Performance wise it's pretty much what I expected - he's been gunshy of being hit ever since Ruiz, and Usyk then followed that up with back to back examples that he is not enough at the elite as a boxer.

Anyone expecting AJ to get back to the pre-Ruiz days of going for finish is going to be seriously disapointed IMO.

The biggest controversy of the evening came in the form of a Howard Foster premature stoppage. Crossdresser Foster waved the fight during an effective rope-a-dope by Polite Coffee, effectively saving a fading and coffee clinic-victim Fabio Wardley. This fight should be run back. Wardley needs to earn his KO through punches, not through referree fight cancellation. The fight should resume with Coffee on the ropes, with 6 rounds to go, in a MMA inspired position resumption rule. Rope a dope king Coffee was about to implement the final phase of his plan - after the late rope a dope phase was through.

He should never have left Rob McCracken. Changing trainers all the time says he puts blame on the trainer instead of himself for losing.
The results of changing trainers over and over speaks for itself.

No, he was not, anyone with any boxing understanding knew that Fury was the man and it was only a matter of time before he was back on top.

    Example:

Fury wasn't the man then and he certainly isn't the man now.
