Initially I thought Loma had no chance. That Haney would use his size, length, strength and youth advantages and simply grab and jab for a clear UD.

I rewatched Haney vs Diaz just recently. And now I'm not so sure anymore. That southpaw stance caused Haney problems. If Haney cannot keep Loma on the end of his jab he is going to be in big trouble. Loma may even hurt him when he gets inside that jab. Even at 35, Loma still has quick feet. The southpaw stance changes everything. This fight is much closer to 50/50.

If I could see both lose I'd love that because I cant stand either of these egotistical fighters, but one man is going to win unless there is an unlikely draw.

Loma is def a live dog. You can’t count a guy like Loma ever. Even in his losses he didn’t get washed.

The southpaw stance is the game changer IMO. If Haney controls range with the jab it's a wash, but Loma is a southpaw.

No it’s not lol. Lomas angles and creativity would be an issue with or without being a southpaw.

You are 3rd guy to say that in the past week.

I'm glad people are doing some research about Haneys weaknesses.

There are great odds on Loma right now.

I rewatched Orlando Salido's family album recently and I saw Sonnychenko getting spanked. No disrespect for Saliddadio but Haney is bigger, stronger, better.

I don't see Loma winning. He is the more skilled but the size difference here is massive. Haney is a large Welter ffs. Wouldn't shock me if the ring was tiny as well so Loma's footwork gets neutralized.
It should be a back and forth type fight but I think Haney will take it.

AJ was bigger than Usyk, in both fights.

The money boys in Vegas currently have Loma at +$200 . Gotta go with The Matrix with those odds.

Who is talking about AJ and Usyk? Canelo was bigger than Khan, Benevidez was bigger than Caleb Plant so what? Not sure why people always feel the need to bring up completely irrelevant fighters
Size is one aspect that has caused Loma grief and Haney is a skilled fighter with good speed. Given Loma's age I don't think he will be able to convincingly beat Haney at this point in their careers. It's not impossible but feels unlikely to me.
I won't disagree with that but look how close each of those fights were. On was very close, the other a wipeout. Size troubles Loma and I just think Loma is on the downside while Haney is getting better. I don't think Loma's speed will overwhelm Haney. Probably a close fight and certainly don't see a KO, but I think Haney wins without controversy.

Yeah & Haney has been improving steadily since that fight & seems to be hitting hard enough also.

Not getting the Diaz shout. I thought Haney won that 117-111. That's also the most common card on Eye on the Ring.

    https://www.eyeonthering.com/boxing/devin-haney-vs-joseph-diaz

What I thought Haney did do was take the distance from Haney's jab very nicely, he found a very nice half-way house. But other than that, no issues, Diaz won the 4th, 7th and 12th, that was the lot. So I also had Haney dominating the run-in which was exactly the engine check after the Linares fight, which is the one I think people should be worrying about. If you slide off the plate against Loma, he'll seal your fate.
