    Matchroom's problem is that potential names require a double purse to face Conor Benn. I can understand that, but let's all hope that someone puts an end to Conor Benn's comeback fight.

    Hope not. Hope they bypass him too. Hope the BBBofC stop him from fighting until he presents his 270 page diatribe and gets a two year ban

    It won't be Broner. 21 fights and Conor hasn't fought a black guy yet, a weird fact, is that.

    It is pretty mad isn't it, I know he was going to fight Jnr but I wouldn't call him black. I don't know if there's anything in it or it's just the way things have panned out but it's not like there's not easy and decent fights there to be made against guys that aren't white. I'd never really thought of it before but I checked his record and no, they're all white guys, largely a list of journeymen, kickboxers and corpses and even the ones that aren't are either inactive or severely on the slide.

    I ended up going through Boxrec too as I couldn't really believe it. Half the top 10 welterweights (counting Benn as white/mixed) are black, so it's not like they were hard to find.

    I think the race thing is less important than what you say about quality though - Benn's career has mostly been against low-ranked payday merchants and that's the problem. Coming up for 22 fights and hasn't had a live opponent yet.

    How is Benn rated in the top 10 when he's never fought a contender and hasn't fought in nearly a year with no fights scheduled.
