No social media stuff since May either. Very strange. Dave never mentions him either.

 

I'm sure Dave helps train his younger brother who's an amateur ? Could be wrong.

Haven't heard anything about Danny Murrell in a long time... last I knew he was training with Ingle and he'd had a fight under him but no clue what's happened with him since?

Always looked to me that he had some skills in the locker but zero man strength and power... appeared to me that he turned pro too soon.

 

he's had 2 pro fights. Won both. Was very fleshy for the weight.

You’re right in saying Danny Murrell turned professional way too early. Dave Allen pushed him into it, and then he moved to Dominic Ingle who got Allen out of the way and was probably working Murrell hard in the gym. Not sure why he hasn’t been out in so long.

I followed the trail, their main prosecution witness Dowdall was appalling, kept lying even about things he didn't need to. The case rested on him and he blew any chance of being convicted. I thought it was a certainty as there's no jury in those trials. Hutch seemed very popular leaving the court, probably reflection of the anti-DK sentiment as much as any feeling towards Hutch

 

He's reshared images of his fights on FB but nothing recent in terms of his training. Hasn't put on much weight though although he's only young

 

I reckon part of him probably regrets going pro after being talked into it by Allen.

 

Very possibly. And if MTK were financing him then it went bust he's not going to be able to fund beating up Latvian welders to learn on the job.

Can you drop back to amateurs then turn pro again? I know Steve Collins son dropped back to ams, but not sure if you can turn over again.

 

I know a few did it for Olympics but didn't know if Olympics is a special case

 

If you can't go back to ams, you can go to white collar at least. Ronnie Clark had a white collar bout very recently

Should Barrett and Cordina win on the weekend, they will likely face off next in a big domestic clash for the World Title in Wales in August / September.

 

I think he's done. Hasn't posted on social media about boxing for over a year and he's got a gf now. No disrespect to short young men but short young men who get a fairly pretty gf turn into lapdogs, the dedication won't be there.
