Yes I was at the first jmm-diaz and diaz-paulie 1 fights I didn't pay for the tickets they were free and I sat in a suite both times my friend's sister worked at a company that owned a suite at the Toyota center and no one who workerd there cared about boxing or wanted to go to the fights. So she got free access to the suite and a group of us about 8 or so went to both fights for free. The crowd was amazing for the jmm-diaz fight the best and loudest I've been around at that arena and that includes nba games and concerts. even though the fight was in houston which was Diaz hometown it was like 60/40 for jmm. The diaz-paulie 1 fight the crowd was of course all for diaz I remember Paulie complaining in the ring after the fight about getting robbed and the crowd booing him. Great memories indeed.

When I was a kid and had a fight with another kid and caught him with a haymaker that I wound up from the floor that made that meaty sound right in the eye and he dropped into the flowerbed like a sack of potatoes. I felt very chuffed until all his bigger friends came and then it wasn't so much fun anymore. The End.

Probably Jermall against Centeno in person. Jermell against Hatley was also bad.

I saw Zhang ko some guy in slow mo and Robeisy score a beautiful knockout later on that card.

The greatest knockout I saw in person was Nelson-Gomez. I was broken hearted but it was a hell of a fight, I went home satisfied from watching a great contest. Gomez-Soto on my first fight ever in person was also a memorable knockout in that Soto rolled all over the ring, you can see that on You Tube. And Maldonado-Bruno in a fight boxrec says never happened. Orlando Maldonado walked to Juan Bruno, steamrolled him and Bruno sat on his corner and it was over in 30 seconds, like Tyson vs. Frazier.

Trinidad versus Campas was another memorable ko but I saw that one on TV hehe and so was Chavez-Taylor 1 which I also saw on TV live.

Haha nice, man you're lucky to get that chance then i would assume getting into a suite would be a lot harder? back then & it's weird if you looked at the crowds most of them were from all kinds of life & seemed to be real hardcore fans of the sport & didn't bother as much with their attire & that included the front up crowd in the arena compared to today as its just changed, perhaps the prices have something to do with it along with the boxing crowd somewhat moving on to other sports,

Was being in the suite up high making it more able for you to hear the crowd noise levels louder as in some arenas the volume gets lost & escapes to the higher ups with the Boxers unable to hear it as much as other venues,

Yeah that was a good fight i remember the uppercut Marquez landed & how devastating those last punches felt landing on Diaz along with Marquez raising his hands & flexing his muscles in my memory.

Being in a suite was cool free food and drinks but for whatever reason they didn't have the tvs on. You're not at the top of the arena but far from having the best seats. If given the choice of a suite or ring side seats for a big fight I'd take the ring side seats hands down. With that said I got a decent view of the action in the ring and a great view of the people below and sitting on the floor. The way the Toyota center is designed it traps noise well its not a big hanger type of arena. Walking in and out of the fight you had some people with Mexican flags and Mexican national soccer team jerseys going hard for jmm signing and chanting which was kind of odd since Diaz is Mexican American which is pretty close to being Mexican as you can get.

Cool man, yeah Mexicans always cheer harder for the away fighter & plus they made all the fights that much better going back the crowds reactions & rowdiness was from the start of & to the finish of the match which is what is sorely missing in today's fights usually until the very end or when a knockout is about to occur is when you actually see them raise up ore like spurts of noise hear & there,

Old Crowds > the New anytime.

It had to be tye fields versus Monte Barret, the PAC fans in the casino were astonished as well was I. Lots of oohs and ahhs. After the ko Monte went on to say "even though they were both giants, nicoli valuev was a champion, tye fields wasn't."

Sadly, some if not most Mexicans do not consider Mexican-Americans as Mexican. This is something I, as a non-Mexican myself who has lived 33 years in the American Southwest, have been doing my best to change both online and with the few people Ive met off-line. I tell them that the expression says it all: MEXICAN-American, so yes they are American, but by blood they are also Mexican.

Its different to us Puerto Ricans, as we say anyone born with Puerto Rican blood, even if born in China, Madagascar or Russia, is a Puerto Rican.
