the crowd went nuts and I was in a very Polish section

I still say Julian Jackson parting Herol Graham from consciousness was a true classic KO, i like the commentary just before the KO.

Liked watched live on PPV as it was happening?
I've attended several fights in person, including some that ended in KOs, but to be honest seeing it on TV gives you a much better sense of it.

I was struggling to think of one and then I remember Ricky Hatton getting destroyed and humiliated TWICE (Mayweather+Pac) in front of the whole world to see....

Of the two ost people would probably go with Pac's annihilation.
It was horribly amazing! I thought Hatton had died for a second honestly. Just laying there on his back with arms stretched out and his eyes and mouth wide open staring up at the ceiling... I had to remind myself that he was a professional athlete, not just some guy they pulled from the 4th row.
The best part was, he ran straight to his death!! Pac probably woulda let him survive a couple rounds and throw a few return punches, just so it wouldn't be quite as embarrassing, but Hatton was having none of it! He went straight at Pac, no sense of defense or covering up, chin all exposed for the world to see...my brothers 12 year old kid coulda landed haymakers on him ffs!!!!!

    But you know what?
I still favor Mayweather's KO. It was more pinpoint, more precise....I think May fought a better version of Hatton as well. He actually looked liked he'd at least sparred in a gym before. He had at least some sense of how to engage an opponent and move around the ring.
But I thought Mayweather's manhandling of Hatton was just as humiliating, especially with all those Brits screaming and yelling and singing and just acting like a bunch of fools in general.
When Hatton ate a punch from Mayweather and then fell face first in to the turnbuckle, that was literally one of the greatest things I've ever seen in a boxing ring!!

Live on tv…Julian Jackson KOing one of my favourites Herol Graham. I was shouting at the TV…”Herol, STAY AWAY FROM HIM! You’ve won it, they’re gonna stop it! what you doi….!!!

Then in the blink of an eye it was over.

True but this applies to many other ethnicities too as i know this very well,

Just the way it goes as even when you go back to your homeland they usually think they're more better & purer than you but when they get the opportunity & arrive overseas they so wanna be like us here so bad, just sad.

Very very true. That or they think you are better off, "pampered, etc" cause you were born in the US. (I'd tell them to visit hmnn...I dont want to offend anyone here so Ill just say certain places to see how pampered people in the US are!)

Yeah you're exactly right, they also seem to believe that because your living on this side that you just have it all so easy & completely avoid having any hardships & bigger issues, a lot of times things are actually more relaxed & paced without so much expectation in their country for them compared to here, the circumstances just vary.

When I first moved to the USA, I thought everyone here lived like the girl from Clueless did except I moved before Clueless was released lol but yeah I pictured everyone living in a house with air conditioner, a nice luxury car, a pool and a tennis court. That my aunt in New Jersey was a teacher with her own house and a nice car and my uncle in Arizona owned a snack bar and had a pool and a huge, golden elephant figure in his house did not help my perception. And then my father moved two weeks before we did in order to set up shop for his family (long story short, we came because my uncle told us he had a restaurant set up for us here) and he called to say our new house had a pool, volleyball and tennis court and was in front of a mall did not help me with my perception either lol...in the end it did have all that but it was an apartment complex and the mall was a 15 minute drive by car...and there was no restaurant that was a vile lie by my uncle.

What was instead was an ice cream truck which, I cant complain actually, led to the utter craziness that later ensued in my life...thanks to that truck I was able to afford 100 dollar jackets and a lifestyle of partying and all that. But it was no restaurant that is for sure!

The thing is in order to live like that, with that truck we worked in some of the poorest places in Phoenix which opened my eyes...there in the barrio, which I actually enjoyed because I felt connected to the culture I saw in movies like La Bamba and Stand and Deliver and cause of all the humble barrio friends (and girlfriends and even boyfriends) I made, but it opened my eyes: not everyone in the USA drove Camaros and dressed like movie stars lol

Anyways, back to topic hehehe lol one night I was setting in for Tyson-Smith which turned out to be a dud as you all know but the Puerto Rican transmission, by pure accident, caught a fight between Paul Gonzalez and some guy whose name I never learned. Lo and behold, right before they figured it and cut it off, Paul landed a bomb and it was over, a knockout I'll never forget seeing!

Tim Witherspoon vs Anders Eklund comes to mind, especially with the spasms.

    Julian Jackson vs Buster Drayton.

    Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams.

Watched it live, Lewis Vs Rahman 2 is my all time favourite KO.

Foreman and Lampley’s commentary added to it. Boom !! Will Rahman get up or have the tables been turned?

Still rings in my head like it was yesterday
