So, you want a little more action with him, I take it? Damn my friend, you gift wrapped that reply for me. Mucho gracias!

Surf is good people and he likes some action in these threads, - tbh, so do I. Nothing too crazy, just some decent, friendly sparks…then move on, no luggage carried over.

Actually, in line with the required gender (feminine), apparently it can only be Muchas.

My extreme manliness prevents me from fully mastering such binary languages.

Monzon's trombone jab certainly makes it difficult for anybody to get near him consistently enough. But his slow hands will be outmatched by Hagler's constant workrate. Hagler eventually counters and finds his way inside for most likely a UD. Also an outside chance for a possible late TKO.

Ill try to simplify my world.. If I go to a 24 hour Taco Shop and I say "Tortilla" then they will ask "With what or how?" But if I say Tortillo then Josephina will come from the kitchen and pimp slap me because a Tortillo doesn't exist.

Hagler decision. Think his work rate and come forward style combined with his chin would give him the slightest of advantages.8-7 or 9-6 Hagler

Carlos Monzon via 15 round decision. Hard left jab, great counterpuncher, sturdy chin, fantastic stamina for a 1 pack a day smoker during training, and a pulverizing right hand that produced 61 KO's in his 89 victories, against three decision losses that came early in his career, the last being on Oct 9 1964, he avenged those three losses against 9 draws, which 8 were avenged, then went on a 82 bout unbeaten streak. Carlos also retired as champion in August 1977, something that Hagler could not do, also Monzon had 14 successful title defenses in his 7 year reign as champion in a career that began on Feb 8 1963. Hagler a southpaw has struggled against average competition at his weight, a draw against champion Vito Antuofermo on Nov 30 1979 in which Hagler was heavily favored. Against Roberto Duran, a blown up lightweight in Nov 1983, Hagler scoring a close 15 round decision, and of course his loss to a fighter that had not seen competition in 3 years Sugar Ray Leonard in April 1987, losing a 12 round decision. Maybe Carlos Monzon's style was not as flashy as Sugar Ray Leonard but it was effective enough in winning, and Monzon did close his career out with a victory at 34 years of age, a 15 round decision over no.1 challenger Rodrigo Valdes in Monte Carlo, Monaco. But I suppose everyone favors their champions of their eras.

@surfinghb is quite blunt and very open my family is like that aswell. I'm British and my sister and mum are very blunt and straight talking, it's not for everyone but again when you first meet @surfinghb you have to realize. That's just his personality it's not meant to be disrespectful, hes just the kind of guy that will call you out on BS if he thinks your talking nonsense, and is very blunt which i like TBH reminds me of my family.

Sweet. Lest any confusion, I was sincerely talking Surf up. I like Surf and I like his posts - any disagreements are no biggie. I like straight shooters and the genuine ones take as good as they give, no whining or carrying around vengeful luggage.

On a more superficial level, I like his avatar - William H Macy, one of my favorite actors. When I read Surf's posts, I can't help but see him as Macy, nonchalantly talking with a smoke hanging out of his mouth. Very cool. :D
