In all of honesty if you believe in Fate then Foreman would have won either way. The way he won in reality speaks truth. imho
I can’t understand why Moorer never had a rematch clause in place. Same with Foreman vs Ali. If they did then all I can assume is after their respective losses they were so devastated they forfeited it. Otherwise Moorer on points. No way he even takes a chance.
A big factor is what kind of shape Foreman would be in for the rematch. He was already looking a bit portly in their first fight if I recall, even for Big George, so would he get fired up and get in even better shape or stay about the same?
I miss Mr Bill. Teddy Atlas would not have allowed Moorer to fight Foreman again because Foreman took BOTH their souls already.
Me too. I am constantly reading through old threads and see his posts. Anybody know what happened to him?
Agreed. Good poster who made his points short and precise with a good sense of humour and objectivity.
Moorer was never the same after that brutal KO. Heard you weren't either. Is it true, you were hospitalized following a mental breakdown?
Fun fact: Moorer beat Schultz after the Foreman fight and Foreman lost to him. Like most things Foreman, he would've rematched Moorer if he thought he could win. The truth is that he knew he couldn't even beat Tucker and tossed belts instead of fighting him.
Do your research. Foreman won their fight via MD. Moorer needed an SD. So according to the judges Foreman had a far better performance against Schulz. We don't know for sure if Foreman thought he could've beaten Moorer in a rematch or Tucker. All we know is Foreman KTFO 10 Moorer, and it eats you up inside.
